So they are apparently having trouble to find a actor to take on the role of Doc16.

    So..

Why not have Docs 5,7 and 8 return for the meantime.
Doc 5 and Tegan have a limited series and same with Doc 7 and Ace. Then give 8 a full series. Have 8 series running during 2027 with the two limited 5 and 7 series over Christmas 2027.

They could then film series 3/16 during 2027 to air over 2028. Maybe do a spring special episode (march/April) to introduce Doc16 officially then start there series in May.

Film the Christmas 2028 and series 4/17 summer/autumn.

This under the premise they leave the Christmas 2026 Special ona cliffhanger with a regeneration. Have the Doc starting to regenerate, then zoom out and see the tardis doors glowing…with credits running “The 16th Doctor will arrive 2028”. This is how I would have ended Reality War. Start it as it did with 15 glowing, then zoom out and just see the TARDIS explode of light of regeneration energy with “The Doctor will return Christmas 2026”

However, when The Reality War aired there was no future episodes commissioned.

It could have said ‘The Doctor Will Return…” after the regeneration started but RTD didn’t want to leave it that way after the reshoots.

Billie was brought in for the cliffhanger (apparently just 10 days before broadcast) and to keep people talking which they certainly have.

That’s why her head is on the scene although 15’s arms are still clearly in shot. A rushed job or simply coz the regeneration isn’t over.

There’s more chance of 14 and Donna getting a spin-off than them going back to older Doctors at this stage (unless 14 merges with Billie to make 16 ending the Toymaker Arc).

I did read that peter davidson wanted too continue on that mini episode for season 21 but said it wouldn’t happen till further on in the future which i think was too do with that mini strip? Would be awesome too turn this more into a episode itself especially now having a tegan figure

      @missyrules
had lots and lots of friends, including Russell T Davies, message me saying… but what happens next?” McTighe explained at a BFI Southbank screening to promote the Blu-ray release.

      More like this

“I kind of knew what happened next, but obviously I don’t have 5 million quid to make it, so I rang my friend Marcus [Hearn] at Doctor Who Magazine and said, ‘How would you feel about continuing the story as a comic strip?’, and he said yes.”

McTighe elaborated that “a very special supplement” to be released by Doctor Who Magazine in the coming months will “continue the story, and you’ll see what happens on Trion.”
Wasnt ment too say peter Davidson but peter mctighe

Info from B&M group I follow on Facebook. Information is from B&M scanners in store as there were screen shots.

    B&M.

Doctor Who 2 Pack Tardis A.
Item Code. 0809353500. Short Code. 437832.

Doctor Who 2 Pack Tardis B.
Item Code. 0809353700. Short Code. 437834.

    Price £26.99.

    Pack Size 6.

    Stock. 1620.

nb. Not clear if that is stock per distribution warehouse.

    Due in DC warehouse 21/09/2026.

It definitely sounds like CO stock rather than Master Replicas.

I’m expecting 7th Doctor to get some Tardis loving as A. I would be surprised if B is the pink version but you never know.

    Let the speculation begin… ☺️

Has anybody else had issues with the 4K Blu-ray Disc of Dr. Who and the Daleks released back in 2022? After recently buying my first 4K player, I watched it last night for the first time on 4K. Everything was fine until the 40 minute mark when the picture started freezing for about a second or so, and then started up again. I rewound it a few seconds, and problem solved (it seems). Looking online, it appears likely that this is a layer change.

However… The Dalekmania documentary is freezing continuously as is the original trailer and the interview with Gareth Owen. The other special features appear to be fine.

I have the steelbook and the limited edition set, so of course the first thing I did was try the other copy of the 4K disc, and it has the same issues with struggling to play the special features, in exactly the same places. Is this a disc problem? I should also mention that the discs are absolutely spotless, I would even go as far as to say they are in mint condition.

I should mention that the standard Blu-ray Disc works fine. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Have you checked for any firmware updates for your 4K player? Although new there might have been one since manufacture.

If it connects to the internet there should be a firmware update option in the system settings.

Yep, my 4K player has the most recent firmware update, so definitely not that. Frustrating thing is, it plays DVDs and Blu-rays fine, but 4K seems to be problematic.

Disappointing as I know that 4K discs are notoriously faulty but I didn’t expect to encounter problems the first time properly watching one.

Also, my Daleks’ Invasion Earth 4K disc has exactly the same problem! Dalekmania freezes every 4-5 seconds even though the audio is unaffected.

This surely has to be a wide spread problem?

I’ve reposted this question on the TV Movie steelbook page, as it seems it might be a more appropriate place for it.

Arrgghhhh! The october target book is delayed until the 15th April now. Not a surprise but very annoying. Does mean just three target books in 2026. Speed it up!

I doubt we’ll know what it is now until the end of the year.

It could be the brand new Billie Piper debut, as the 16th Doctor, later this year (on tv)……!

That might explain all the mystery…….

Amazon UK Prime Video still have gaps in the list of Classic Series stories they have for digital purchase. Does anyone know if they will ever fill in the gaps? Sorry this may be a question no one can answer lol.
