Yes. He now has the blue glow surrounding him and still teaching The green cross code in the afterlife. Thankfully we still have the iconic vader voice in the form of the great James Earl Jones still with us.

Yes Ergon, bit of a strange one Darth Vader in the movies.
Voiced by James Earl Jones, played in original trilogy by Dave Prowse, but in Return of the Jedi when they revealed his face, he was played by Sebastian Shaw.

Well for those that never saw the leaked photos at the start of the year the Revolution Dalek has been fully revealed on the cover of Radio Times.

Now we just need to see it confirmed as a future release by CO and Eaglemoss.

Be nice if Robert Harrop attempted it aswell.
      There long overdue a Dalek.
(Good sales for them aswell I should imagine).

I like the new dalek design. And before the complaints pile in, chibnall has already said it’s not a replacement for the bronze dalek just a variant.

I think they should replace the bronze Daleks at some point in the near future.

      These designs are interesting.

I liked the paradigm daleks but “fans” put an end to them. They were a great design. This one is good because it removes the human operator and so can look more alien.

      November 29th, 2020 - 10:48am

I wish they would move on from the bronze colour and experiment with different colours.

They look great in TLV The Daleks in burgandy. Also would be great if they did them in classic series colours.

The Paradigm Daleks should have been kept as ‘commanders’ but with the more metallic sheen as seen in Asylum. And it would have been interesting to see the different weapons that were hidden in the hump at the back as originally planned.

Looking forward to trailer for Revolution later today.

I love the idea of them potentially doing Nu-Who collection-style bluray sets! Can you guys imagine a Series 1 set with upscaled stories, behind-the-sofa reactione with like Camille Coduri and Noel Clarke reacting, revisited special FX for Rose (that Mickey head and bin scene!), an exclusive interview with Eccleston discussing his time on the show and the turmoil behind the scenes, some documentaries & filming location visits with the likes of Russell T Davies and Billie Piper. They could add the promo teasers/trailers, the Confidential episodes, the Totally Doctor Who content & Blue Peter interview/s from CBBC! There’s just so much they could make for it! Would definitely be a day one pre-order purchase for me!

What would anyone else like to see from potential modern Who bluray sets?

For the Capaldi era, I want them to put the titles in sync with the music for those episodes where they weren’t starting with in the forest of the night (the first case, others being dark water, death in heaven last Christmas magicians apprentice under the lake face the raven (the worst offender) the pilot ,ever so slightly smile and lastly the eaters of light), and the ring of light when the tardis burst out of the clock face needs to be fixed as it cuts out before reaching the edge of the screen, bar last Christmas and the husbands of river song, if they could also fix Pearl Mackies name in the twice upon a times title sequence so it zooms straight forwards rather than top to bottom and I believe there’s an audio issue with the beginning of kill the moon’s titles where the volume suddenly jumps up, an added bonus would be moving nick frosts name to appear before the doctor who title card similar to how Matt Lucas’ name appears in series 10, my last issue is when the tardis spins away to reveal the magicians apprentice, there is some weird effect you notice in the top left of the screen where the tardis looks like it’s being magnified, putting it out of proportion with the rest of the box (and the frequent capitalisation and then recapitalisation of series 8’s episode titles at the end of the sequence

In short, I’d like them to fix Capaldi’s titles as I love them but they’re let down by serious editing issues

That would be a dream come true! Personally, I’d be over the moon to see them include the S4 specials with series 4, as opposed to a separate release. Same with S7 and the 50th specials! That would be incredibly satisfying, and of course more of the same in terms of the content you suggested.

      November 29th, 2020 - 1:56am

Yes I would love them to do this! And as long as the classic collection sets continue to sell well I could see them doing it in maybe 5 years or so when that range comes to an end. That would hopefully give the people involved enough time to reflect on the series and have new things to say in all the special features they could film!

One thing I would really like to see is the episodes that were shot in HD upscaled to 4K. Like they’ve upscaled the SD classic series to HD. Twice Upon A Time looked amazing in 4K I thought.

Would really love to see the same amount of special features that the classic series has on the new series! They could include the full length confidential episodes as well as new behind the sofa stuff and interviews. It would be great!

Not a question but ‘The Naughties: 2005’ was on BBC2 last night with Tracey-Anne Oberman discussing the launch of NewWho. Also featured clips from The Ark as Russell Kane’s Dad was in it.

Will be up on I-Player for those in need.

Interesting, I wonder if its from the Power of the Daleks team, a smaller project the BBC can fund out their own pockets on the DVD budget while the other two teams are working on the BBC America funded projects.

I wonder if The Underwater Menace may get a similar treatment in 2022 (presumably alongside The Wheel in Space and The Space Pirates given how things have been going).

Do you think the cover for the dvd and bluray will be in a non animated artsyle considering the majority of episodes are surviving

    • Gordon

      November 23rd, 2020 - 2:30am

Seeing as abominable and web share some assets it could be the same team that ends up doing abominable providing the rumours of that release is true.

Could well be non animated. Will have to see.

I wonder when it’s out. The steelbook has a June 2022 release date but that’s clearly a placeholder

    • Anonymous

      November 24th, 2020 - 2:06am

Due to the majority of the episodes existing I’d guess at a non-animated cover
