Nicholas Briggs reads this exciting novelisation of a classic TV adventure for the Fourth Doctor.

A mysterious plague strikes Space Beacon Nerva, killing its victims within minutes. When the Doctor lands, only four humans remain alive. One of these seems to be in league with the nearby planet of gold, Voga….

Or is he in fact working for the dreaded Cybermen, who are now determined to finally destroy their old enemies, the Vogans?

The Doctor, Sarah and Harry find themselves trapped in the midst of a terrifying struggle to the death – between the ruthless, power-hungry Cybermen and the desperate, determined Vogans.

Nicholas Briggs, who voices the Cybermen in the hit BBC TV series, reads Terrance Dicks’ 1976 novelisation of a TV serial by Gerry Davis.

Interestingly, the Chris Archeilos Revenge of the Cybermen artwork mug (on the artist’s website) has a design where the cyberman’s arm and the end of the smoke has been added in / completed. Shame it was not the same design here. Really happy though this audio is going to be released.

Brilliant, at last!!! Just hope it’s on CD not just audio download. We need more season thirteen and seventeen stories please.

I hope they’re not planning on phasing out the CD versions of these. Amazon appear to have stopped selling them from Kroll onwards. I refuse to buy downloads .

Wonder why Amazon only listing pre-order of digital download, and not CD version?

Could be because the release date is 3 February 2022.

Didn’t imagine Nick Briggs for the reader but it should have been obvious really! This might be a good reading.

I get they have to keep the covers consistent but this one really doesn’t fit the rest of the frame that well.

Oh!! It’s a shame they didn’t do anything to improve the cover!! The sudden cut on the cyberman is particularly jarring

I suppose if they zoomed in to make the Cyberman be on the edge, it would look like the original book, but Tom Baker’s head would be obscured by the logo.
