December 19th, 2024 - 4:06pmI wonder what the menu screen will be like for this season, no TARDIS interior, so it will be interesting to see what they do with it.
Ricky
December 19th, 2024 - 4:19pmWill they use the inferno backdrop or the Ambassadors? I’m intrigued .
SV7
December 19th, 2024 - 4:26pmMaybe a bit of a mash-up? The console as it appears in Ambassadors 1 in the control room from The War Games?
Season 12’s TARDIS menus were a mash-up of elements from Seasons 11 and 13 weren’t they?
Erato
December 19th, 2024 - 3:10pmNo trailer for this one?

December 19th, 2024 - 3:15pmJust thinking the same thing

December 19th, 2024 - 3:57pmThey stopped making the trailers after Season 15.
Auton
December 19th, 2024 - 4:12pmThey stopped doing live action episodes for the trailer. They didn’t stop completely as Season 25 had one

December 19th, 2024 - 4:59pmMaybe a trailer isn’t quite ready – but they have dropped the details early due to the leak?
Maybe we’ll see a trailer when this may have “supposed” to have been announced – my guess would be a couple of weeks after new year.

December 19th, 2024 - 2:27pmAny idea when it’s going to get released. I heard that the 9th Doctor season is getting the collection treatment to celebrate 20 years since it’s been on TV..
scotel
December 19th, 2024 - 2:42pmProbably around March (which certainly rules out any sort of collection release to coincide with 20 years since Eccelston).
Tom Williams
December 19th, 2024 - 3:08pmThis was hinted as February from the leak on eBay the other day but probably at this stage will be pushed till march

December 19th, 2024 - 3:16pmThe Zavvi email I got said 3rd of march

December 19th, 2024 - 4:55pm@David Where the heck did you hear about a Ninth Doctor Collection set?
There’s literally been zero serious mention of a Paul McGann let alone New Who 2005+
If this is legit, it’ll be absolutely fascinating to find out how the ‘restoration’ will be tackled – going back further beyond the broadcast masters to the (I guess) raw camera firewire footage? If so then damn it that would be beautiful.
Just don’t do it on a cheap ai job. Wallace and Gromit’s 4k’s been utterly massacred by it and looks awful.

December 19th, 2024 - 1:52pmBrilliant. Lots of inclusion of Carry John’s family pleases me very much. I love Carry and Liz to bits.
Interesting no 5.1 (possibly on the omnibus editions ? ) there’s not much CGI used in these episodes, that anything added newly .
Excellent

December 19th, 2024 - 2:30pmPlus the previously released tribute to Caroline John should be included so alot of love towards one of the most underrated companions in Doctor Who’s History
Ricky
December 19th, 2024 - 1:36pmReally nice cover art on the set itself and the booklet and great use of the TARDIS picture on the opener ,will be interesting to see which of the 2 TARDIS console backdrops they use for this one!
I’m Batman
December 19th, 2024 - 1:24pmSeason 7? I was not expecting this to be the next release, nor for it to come any time soon. I am pleasantly surprised!
It’s not like John Levene mentioned doing an interview recently, or any form of leaks have surfaced. How do they keep a tight lid on things, I’ll never know.

December 19th, 2024 - 1:32pmWas expecting more Blu-ray Releases on the remaining Tom Baker series but this is rather unexpected! Looking forward to have a new addition to my Blu-ray collection.

December 19th, 2024 - 1:15pmA beautiful cover and some amazing special Features for a season where so few people are still with us. Really looking forward to my all time favourite Doctor Who Season to get the Blu-ray treatment
Alzie Who
December 19th, 2024 - 1:08pmI did wonder whether there would be extra CGI on any of these, but not a worry. Looking forward to these and I’m sure the trailer will come soon enough. Let the guessing game begin on who will be on the Behind the Sofa! Possibly Geoffrey Beevers and Caroline John’s daughter? Would be nice if Sean Pertwee would do one also
Snowman
December 19th, 2024 - 1:01pmAlready looking forward to the BFI Screening (Even though it will be months away) and picking up a few Official Signed/Unsigned Postcards of that Gorgeous Artwork.

Things that go bump in the night
December 19th, 2024 - 12:39pmPre-ordered… Jon Pertwee is really my Doctor that I watched regularly and grew up with (yes I did watch Hartnell’s and Troughton’s Doctor from time to time, but not every episode)

December 19th, 2024 - 12:38pmAnd to be honest they dont really need the new CG. They are of their time but suited to the stories. If they are needed all well and good.
DPHill
December 19th, 2024 - 12:23pmThis is amazing! Surprised ambassadors is only on one disc and no omnibus, shame we don’t get a trailer of any sort with it, nonetheless what a stunning set for a stellar season!!!
