The Eighth Doctor was an effortlessly charming, romantic figure. He was unguarded about his background and equally candid about what the future held for people he came into contact with.

It seems ironic that so much about this open Doctor remains a closed book…His first adventure took place in San Francisco at the turn of the Millennium with Dr Grace Holloway and Chang Lee in an epic battle with the Master.
Much later, after many adventures with many companions, the 8th Doctors fate is finally sealed during the Time War, as he attempts to rescue a pilot, Cass, whose ship was crashing into the planet Karn.
When Cass realized that the Doctor was a Time Lord and her enemy, she refused his help and allowed the ship crash.

i think that its some sort of default text being sent out when it goes out of stock
what this boils down to is how much stock they have left at their central depot and how they distribute it

“The 8th Doctor has now arrived in to stock however due to Black Friday and an extremely high amount of orders received, it is unlikely this will be despatched before next week. A confirmation email will be sent to you at that point. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

December 3rd, 2015 - 4:56pmMy parcel containing the 8th Doctor (and a couple of other things) was delivered yesterday, but it was my graduation so there was no one in, just went to the depot today to pick it up and whilst I was out (at 3pm no less), a parcel from Royal Mail came for my mum, so she now has to wait until tomorrow at least for her parcel.
The Eight Doctor figure is very nice. It’s nice to see some form of the Eight Doc whilst Eaglemoss one still hasn’t turned up yet. It’s the first of these Collector figures I’ve bought that doesn’t have any purple on it, (having gotten purple shirt Twelfth and purple dress Missy)

Such a great figure. strong and well made. not 1 paint splash. the sonic is amazing too much better design. the chalice is good but the strap is a bit wonky anyway its fantastic. looks perfect next to 12th Doctor. panick over. no more to wait for…. now looking forward to next year. p.s. children of revolution set is fantastic too

December 2nd, 2015 - 2:27pmI just rang tru and the problem with my order is because when i try to track, the number goes to the ups website but they have posted with royal mail so that is why they cannot find my order. finally found my order on royal mail tracking and it has been processing since yesterday. so no problems, relieved now. just worried as have had 2 orders lost in post already this winter.

“The Eighth Doctor is expected imminently. As soon as we receive stock, your order will be processed and despatched as quickly as possible and a confirmation email will be sent to you at that point. Please be advised that we have removed this from the website as we are not taking any new orders. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
So here’s hoping he comes soon 🙂

I hate dealing with both of these retailers because I live no where near any of them and have to reply on their website info…which is not good.

“We are still expecting our stock of the Eighth Doctor which is due anytime. As soon as this arrives we will process and despatch. This is an exclusive with Toys R Us.”
From the last sentence, this confirms that this is a joint exclusivity deal between TRU and FP. It just seems TRU have had their delivery of stock before FP.
Although this is a relief…I wont get too excited until I have it in hand.

As there is now onlt 1 business day left in the month I emailed them again asking if they are definitely getting this item in stock. I will post their reply when they respond…I am worried those of us who played it safe and ordered with FP are going to lose out.

Glad the bandolier is removable, since it was young WarDoc that put that on, not Eight. Still, nice accessory along with the sonic and chalice.

I contacted the bank and they said it was their problem, and I know there has been problems with Toys R Us and orders being taken but not getting sent out or something, is this something similar??
