Comparison image of the 11th Doctor set, The 11th Doctor is identical so we haven’t included him here.

The latest figures are on the right.

Amy Pond has a white base coat instead of pink, Her dress is more purpley blue than the darkish black on the original release. The jacket also looked lighter on the new figure in our box.

Clara (Oswin) is identical except for the removal of the belt.

Booboo. If you look at the side of the box you can see Oswins belt. You’ve just customised these figures.

Why couldn’t they have done full repaints, instead of just minor tweaks?

these are a re run (or if you like re-order) of existing sets that sold well with only minor revisions the production run will allow for.

anything else major would be a “new” set and that’s not what these are.

ask B&M, they are the ones who placed the order for a re-run and a interim Tradis set

they wanted 18000 more of the last 3 figure sets which allowed for revised minor tweaks of the production run and that’s all.

They wanted a new 7000 run of a different interim Tardis Set

Still wish they could have been straight re-releases.

To be honest I think that B&M are chancing their arm with this re-issue of the 3 sets. The distribution of the previous sets (and the Tardis) was dreadful and what was available ended up with just a bunch of ebay rip-offs going on. I think they will get lumbered with this for a couple of years on the shelf. I ended up having to buy them all from ebay anyway, so I won’t be bothering with the re-issue sets. I will track down the 4th. Doctor & Tardis set though.

The “Clara/Oswin” figure without the belt is basically Jenna Coleman in her role as Joanna from The Cry, that was recently shown on BBC 1

Surely a colour variant of Amy wouldn’t have cost any more than a slight repaint does, and would have appealed to more collectors?

Her outfit from Cold Blood would work, as could that from The Lodger. Also, even if they couldn’t make the scarf, her outfits form Night Terrors and The Pandorica Opens.

They could, but they’d need new sculpting for her shirt/dress, so I left them out.

Yeah that’s true if they did ever do a re sculpt for amy i’d like to see possibly:
the pandorica opens/ the big bang
Hungry earth/ cold blood (this could easily be a repaint)
      night terrors
      Asylum of the daleks
      A town called mercy
      Time of angels/flesh and stone
