‘City of Death’ is my favourite story in this book. As I’m sure it will be for a great many other fans.

Will they include a Shada in any of their issues?

I think they’ve said a book of ‘odds and ends’ is planned

They have confirmed Shada will be covered in an odds and ends edition.

Nearer the end of the run there’ll be a “Odds & Ends” book with Shada in it

There will now be 90 issues. This is confirmed on their Facebook page. However, if there are 10 more issues, as I (and others) pay the premium for the graphic novels too, will there be a 7th?

Wonder if they will extend the series to cover Capaldi’s 2nd and 3rd series taking us up to Twice Upon a Time?

They are doing that. They’ve not exactly announced it but the William Hartnell one that came out just after Christmas referenced Thin Ice and said (see Volume 86). Tom Spilsbury (ex DWM) said on Gallifrey Base the other day that the extension won’t be taking in any of Jodie Whittaker’s episodes, as they work a few months ahead of publication and will have caught up with themselves by the time her debut series airs.

Would it be safe to assume that they’ll be able to do Jodie’s stories later on? I mean even after they complete the series one would assume that they’ll retain the license for a time and keep the online store open.

V pleased to hear news of a further 10 issues, but madness that they wouldn’t (as suggested several times!) keep the option open to produce say, five or six books a year on bi-monthly subscription basis, enough to cover each new season…they already stand close to a metre tall! There would certainly be a take-up for it; to get so close to a magic 100+fall short seems a pity. Actually they won’t have caught up by the time Jodie’s series airs: Issue 80 is due 19th September, new series set for autumn i.e. around then, 10 more fortnightly issues = 20 more weeks, so Issue 90 is out 7th Feb 2019; as Series 11 runs for 10 weeks, that’s 3 months after the season ends; more than enough time to gather material needed for five books to cover Season 11. I think it’s adding another Doctor to the continuous spine art that’s bugging them!

@GuyTheZygon I seem to recall them stating when the series was launched that despite the spine art, they would be able to extend the series should they choose to. What will happen with the extra ten already confirmed anyway? Will they add the Tardis to the end?

I hope they have the sense not to add anything to the end (except each new Doctor! :D) I do think they should produce a pair of solid bookends on which is the title of the range as those could be endlessly moved on to accommodate more books and they’re starting to look weird with no visible title spine-side on! Have proposed this but so far they’ve not taken the idea up.

They produce them between 4-5 months in advance depending on content (they just recently finished issue 70). They will be finished producing issue 90 September/October time. Jodie may have not had her first episode broadcast by the time issue 90 is done.

Also in a Twitter chat involving two ex DWM editors after Christmas one of them (presumably still with contacts on the inside) warned a dad who’d told his kids ‘September’, ‘I wouldn’t promise them quite as early as September…’. Late October to Christmas perhaps?
