Buyers in the U.S could buy the Blu-ray for $51.98 from U.S release date is currently January 29, 2019 and the description says 5(!) discs which surely is wrong..?

The DVD and Blu-ray seem to have been removed, whereas the Steelbook is still up for pre-order

they are still there but have combined the listing to “see all formats”

people seem to be forgetting that S8 was up for pre-order about 7 months before the series aired.

It’s a small thing, but I love they’ve used the shot of Jodie as the Doctor as the top of the spine, as opposed to something like that circular ‘Who’ logo. It looks really cool and I hope it makes it onto the final version. I’m imagining the cover will be different, perhaps a future promo image with the companions as well?

Do you reckon they’ll do the part 1 and part 2 DVD sets?

Uk airdate August bank holiday weekend or there abouts

But as there are only 10 episodes they may split the series again I guess.

As actors these days dont like do to much. Hartnel would have just laught at how little time they spend making the show these days.

Nope. Series is not going to be split and will NOT air in August bank holiday. It’s coming in October.

DanWFA work for the BBC scheduling department I guess ?

We know that it will be airing in October because that is what they announced at the WW showcase some months back. As they were selling it to broadcasters from around the world I very much doubt that they would change this date now.

October meant shipping the series to other broadcasters not the BBC’s airdate for BBC One, BBC America, BBC Canada, and ABC.

Radio Times has recently announced that there has been no CONFIRMATION about an October release.

if it is released why do it before doctor who comes back on BBC one?

    • Angel Bob

      June 20th, 2018 - 7:13am

It’s not going to be out before the series actually airs.

  • Thomas Pryor

    June 19th, 2018 - 8:57pm

why do it early when it hasn’t been on yet?

    • Leon Kerr

      June 20th, 2018 - 12:15am

      Why not?

    June 19th, 2018 - 8:52pm

That 18 logo gave me chills
    I know it’s says TBA
But on most releases it’s got the background of the 12 rating
    Just scares me

    • MIKSK89

      June 19th, 2018 - 11:13pm

Most times it ranges from a green or yellow triangle (U or PG) to red-on-white (12/15) or white-on-red (18) but mostly says TBC as the BBFC rating has yet to be confirmed…

Something similar happens to Children’s pre-order movies on Amazon too.

  • whovian

    June 19th, 2018 - 7:59pm

I know it’s not final imagery, but it’s kind funny it has the cert 18 logo on it

    • booboo

      June 19th, 2018 - 7:59pm

you clearly done know how Amazon works

they ALWAYS list at rrp until nearer the release date then the price comes down in line with everyone else

    • Doctorfan

      June 19th, 2018 - 7:59pm

i’m sure it will go down as it gets closer to the release date.

  • VeryFactualDalek

    June 19th, 2018 - 7:46pm

Why ? We don’t even have a realise date for the actual series also whats the point of preordering it ?
I’m sure we are all behind Whittaker and Chibnall but I’d like to know what I’m getting

    • Anonymous

      June 19th, 2018 - 7:47pm

True we could be getting the worst series in Doctor history or the best, or just another average season.

    • booboo

      June 19th, 2018 - 7:48pm

previous series have gone up for pre order before we have seen any of it, nothing new here

    • Gareth Pugh

      June 19th, 2018 - 10:18pm

I genuinely think a lot of DW fans and collectors won’t feel a need to see the episodes before knowing whether they want to add this to their collection or not. [That’s pretty true for a lot of SF/fantasy ‘Franchise’ fanbases, I imagine]. That might sound daft but for some, this will be about adding to a collection as much as buying the ability it gives you to watch the episodes themselves. You can usually pre-order the steelbook formats of the new Star Wars movies the very week they hit the cinemas nowadays (I certainly was able to order Solo steelbook blu-ray before it opened!)

    • Leon Kerr

      June 20th, 2018 - 12:16am

Then wait – but loads of tv shows and movies go up for pre order early. Including previous DW sets.
