book-blood-cellDoctor Who: The Blood Cell (12th Doctor novel) (Hardback)

“Release the Doctor – or the killing will start.”

An asteroid in the furthest reaches of space – the most secure prison for the most dangerous of criminals. The Governor is responsible for the cruellest murderers. So he’s not impressed by the arrival of the man they’re calling the most dangerous criminal in the quadrant. Or, as he prefers to be known, the Doctor.

But when the new prisoner immediately sets about trying to escape, and keeps trying, the Governor sets out to find out why.

Who is the Doctor and what’s he really doing here? And who is the young woman who comes every day to visit him, only to be turned away by the guards? When the killing finally starts, the Governor begins to get his answers…

Just seen this in WH Smiths Skipton. They had two copies, and didn’t have the other two new books.

Didn’t buy it, as you can get them for £5.24 online, plus I’m still reading ‘Engines of War’…

It would be nice if Amazon could actually get their Listings correct for these books: All are listed twice on Amazon with incorrect dates, publishers, authors, bindings, etc…

Are these series 8 tie ins
If they are that might be why they are releasing them late so they dont spoil the plot

They’re not part of series 8. They are just story’s for the whovians who like to read.

Definitely not, if they charge you for it, it cannot be part of the series canon or they breach the BBC charter.

That’s why only Big Finish is canon out of all the “other stuff”, because that can be broadcast on radio.

    • Fezmeister

      July 15th, 2014 - 12:23pm

It can be canon. You can’t be required to buy it to understand aspects of the television series, however.

She;s definitely in ‘Silhouette’, and I can’t see why she wouldn’t be in any of the others.

She’s on the cover of the others and I presume she is the woman who visits him in the Blood Cell.
