Just been on Doctor Who Online, and it seems to suggest that episode 1 of series 7 is called ” ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS ” –

    7.1: Asylum of the Daleks
    September 2012

Every Dalek ever will return to our screens to kick off the seventh series of Doctor Who this September.

Pity the Emperor Daleks are not included on the cover, including Davros as the Imperial Emperor Dalek.

This issue of Doctor Who Magazine claims the Emperor Daleks of Evil of the Daleks and Parting of the Ways are the same Emperor Daleks, but theres no evidence as far as I can see to suggest they are, so as far as I’m concerned, they are not the same.

On the other hand, it would be brilliant for the 50th Anniversary if the BBC had a full size prop built of the TV Century 21 Dalek which appeared alongside the 1963 originals in the old comic-strips, cos that was the original before the original TV Emperor Dalek, so maybe the original TV Emperor Dalek the comic-strip casing originally and ended up in the version in Evil of the Daleks.

I wonder, what are they going to do for Dalek’s weapon effects ? They will all have to use that radiation beam, even though the silver daleks never had it, they just went “Exterminate, blam blam blam !” and the whole room would flicker negative. (best they could do at the time).

You know it’s funny how Genesis of the Daleks is acknowledged for many things, but hardly ever does anyone mention that it was the first onscreen time the Daleks weapons had a laser-beam added on, which was to become the norm. 😀

Funny you should mention that, I was thinking about this a couple of days ago, and I feel they should use the old style effects for the classic Daleks with their Dalek guns, cos if they end up using the modern effects the Dalek guns now have on the classic Daleks, then they will certainly have screwed that up.

The Same? There casings don’t look the same. And i have doubts they are the same mutants. There are rumours that the “Evil” Emperor Dalek was Davros, i deny this as well. Also the “evil” Emperor Dalek was probably destroyed by the human Daleks.

Oh Oh Oh I think I just figured out which 2 Daleks are missing! One of the Peter Cushing movie Daleks and the glass dalek from one of my favourite Dalek stories Revelation of the Daleks!

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      May 5th, 2012 - 7:53am

The Peter Cushing Daleks don’t really apply as they are not part of the TV Series continuity, they exist outside of Doctor Who technically speaking, but the Supreme Council Dalek from 1973’s Planet of the Daleks was infact one of the Daleks from the films. He was originally the Supreme Dalek from Daleks – Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. .

The 2 missing Daleks are –

      1)Original 1963 Dalek.
2)Glass Dalek from Revelation of the Daleks.

apparently glass dalek is coming back as is the stone dalek, but it’s not a fact.

also i am dissapointed becuase when the cover said the dalek’s greatest plans revealed, it meant previous stories as i thought it meant the new story.

also cult of skaro is back and the swdalek

I know this will sound silly, but every time someone refers to the Special Weapons Gunner Daleks as the ” SW Dalek “, I keep thinking that SW is short for Star Wars. I don’t know why, I just do.

      STAR WARS DALEK 😀

      May 7th, 2012 - 6:58pm

ALL Astromech Droids like R2-D2 are pratically Daleks of the Star Wars galaxy, their just missing the flashing lights, bumbs, manipulators arms, guns and eyestalks.

And the desire to EX-TER-MIN-ATE !!!!!!!!!!!.

wouldn’t they have to bring back people and things back too like dalek battle computer (remembrane of the daleks) robomen (dalek invasion of earth) and i am wondering does this mean dalek sec hybrid and scarred dalek caan are coming back?

No, just the Daleks themselves, thou I doubt we will see Daleks Sec and Caan of the Cult of Skaro, unless they somehow return with Thay and Jast before they all died.

      May 5th, 2012 - 8:07am

well if you think about it, how can they return into different forms if they dont regenerate, daleks arent humans who go through evolution like we do. how can you go from season to season changing the appearents of the daleks. looks cool tho but hows it gonna work!!!!!!!

      May 5th, 2012 - 8:09am

If they’re going to be in one big episode then surely they will make re released figures of them which would be really annoying as then the ones that are worth a lot know e.g. collectors set 2 would be re released and its worth about £100 on ebay now.

Ahh, but if Character Options re-release those Dalek figures in toy shops, it will be like the 1960’s all over again when Daleks had practically invaded the countries toy shops in various shapes, sizes and colours.

      DALEKMANIA !!!!! 😀

      May 4th, 2012 - 11:09am

It could be even more cheap than the Series 6 wave was, instead of getting new characters or new Doctor figures we’ll just have a million Dalek variants. 🙁 If that’s the case I will just quite buying Dr Who figures and use that money on Big Chief instead, that 11th Doctor they’ve made is incredible, I want the accessories pack it has more clothes ! 😀

I am so glad the Special Weapons Gunner Dalek is making a return, it’s been 24 years since it make it’s only appearance in 1988’s Remembrance of the Daleks.

Hope we will see more then one, perhaps an Army of them – TO OBLITERATE THE PARADIGM DALEKS !!!!! 😀

Either that, or the Paradigm create their very own very own version.
