Doctor Who follows the adventures of the last Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who simply goes by the name “The Doctor”. At the end of the 2013 season, The Doctor regenerated into his new form and new personality, and is portrayed by legendary Scottish actor Peter Capaldi.

This new incarnation, the Twelfth Doctor, is a spiky, brusque, pragmatic, yet funny, passionate and fearless character who travels with his companion, Clara Oswald. His adventures with (and without) Clara in the 2014 season lead him to make tough and ruthless decisions that make him question his character and the value of his travels.

This all new 5 inch tall figure showcases the new look The Doctor takes on after the regeneration, featuring his now signature dark blue Crombie-style coat with red lining, dark blue trousers, a long collared white shirt buttoned to the top with no tie, and brogue boots. He also comes with his trusty sonic screwdriver.

I know this is an old post but I ahve only just come across it and that said, I understand not having the waistcoat/vest for the other looks and reuse, but I feel they could have included it with the white shirt variant as I cannot recall a moment where he wore the white shirt without the waistcost/vest

He wore this costume in the opening of ‘The Caretaker’. They really should have upscaled the 3.75 cardigan torso piece though. I really can’t see why they didn’t do that.

I won one in the recent competition here on this site (Thanks everyone involved in the site, it arrived very quickly) and I really like this figure! It’s definely one of those figures that looks far better in hand than on photos. I think the headsculpt really looks like Capaldi from certain angles. It’s not perfect, but it works. I think that one thing this white shirt varient does well is making the red lining in the coat stand out as the white of the shirt and grey of the trousers contrast the red well!

I really don’t like the current face sculpt – it really isn’t a good likeness at all. That’s why I replaced two of my figures, the white and black shirt variants (I always get multiples of each) with spare heads from the regeneration set. To my joy, they just pop off, and fit perfectly. The 5″ regenerated Capaldi head is a great sculpt, even down to the prominent vein on his forehead. The result is 100% better. Try it, if you have the spare head.

By they just pop off do you mean it’s like a swap-able head? I was just wondering as I don’t want to break the head off and resort to glue afterwards (removing head articulation)
      Thanks

It is like a swappable head and it comes off without breaking. I did it with my black shirt version

Agreed—I’ve been shouting from the mountain tops that the Time of the Doctor Capaldi head is excellent—and with a fuller head of hair that works great , especially now. I had to buy extra sets of that to get a good stock of Capaldi heads for future figures! I painted a dark vest on the white shirt model and popped the good head on. It’s a winner. Just waiting for the burgundy jacket version to come out at some point.

That’s not even the same series. This is from series 8 when Capaldi has the really short hair.
