i think its good but i felt really let down by…
1.the size of it as i thort it could of been a bit bigger.
2.the design of it because with the last one there were the doors and the outer part of the interior cardboard was at least coverd.
3.there wernt any lights or sound effects! that was the biggest let down of all.
so in my eyes it wasnt worth it.

I,ve got it from argos and I do not get the cyberman figure and it cost a bomb and I got a series 5 figure from wave 1 and I don,t like the playset because it,s got no lights or sondones on and the doors do not open or coles. Sorry for missertre worlds.

I’m in my 30′s… Doctor Who has been running for so long that there are Whovians of all ages… sometimes entire families. But that’s half the fun!
As for the ‘older’ fans buying playsets, etc, where I live it’s mostly adults or teenagers who buy this stuff. I rarely see adults buying Doctor Who merchandise for their children, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a child buy something Doctor Who on their own. Mind you, you can only get DW merchandise from a very select few stores where I live, so that’s probably part of the reason.

Mine didnt come with a cyberman but it came with a leaflet saying ‘claim your 5 inch dr who figure’ You had to fill it in and send it of. Today my cyberman actually came! LOL!

That reminds me of what they said on CBBC.
This set is going to be great fun to play with and I like the way they made a ‘downstairs’ to the TARDIS and does the swing move at the edges where the hanger connects to the bit the figures sit on? And are the bits loads of small ones to put together or are they big bits that won’t take much time building?

Give the leaflet in to Argos before they run out of cybermen figures. Fill it in first though.

Yeah i agree but if you had it you’d know how great it was. If you get you dont really worry about the sounds you just keep staring at the detail o it. The only complaint i have about it is that the handbrake sticks out loads! You cant get your figures past! So frustrating! Does anyone agree

I don’t think that charater options have put in much effort with seiries five toy’s, yes this playset is alot bigger than the last but I would prefer sound effects to size.

This set will be bought for me at christmas from gran but moms got to get it for her and gran can give mom the money and she MUST GET IT FROM ARGOS!!! This is because the cyberman is exclusive to the TARDIS in Argos.

centre piece does not move, and i would advise against customising it to make it move – if those of are up for a bit of customising, create rooms that lead off from the walls; use your imagination. If CO do create add ons to expand the console room, then release them as collect and build with the ever expanding range of Doctor Who figures

I got my Tardis the other day, from Argos
increasing my series five to 27 add Prisoner Zero and Francesco that gives me a total of 29 
I love the way the open doors lead off to other areas of the ship; why the Tardis doors don’t open is beyond me, and there is hardly any room to display my figures – but still it is a cool set, I hope CO create additional rooms as we see them appear in the TV series; that would be awesome

this tardis is much better than the old one ,much stronger as it does not fall to bits like the previous one.

me and my friend both have this and we both had wierd errors my play set was fine but on my packaging had no holocrame sticker and on my friends box was fine but you know there is a sticker for the keyboard well he has two one in the right place and one on the side of his concol

@ WHO11 – i was going to get this from doctor who live aswell, but when i got home from being at my friends my dad had got me one. also because i told him that i emailed character about if it would be at the show but they emailed back that they have not supplied any. which is a shame so maybe get this before or after or maybe from a different shop (e.g. argos) after you see the show.

who agrees that the co have realy cheaped out on all series 5 products. but the david tennant tardis playset did have sounds it was a bit dogey and not that detailed.the series 5 products are extremely detailed so thats better for the figure adventures.oh and to make sounds for the tardis playset in figure adventures you could put the flight control tardis near the camera and make sounds and it would be the same as having sounds.

Even if this has no sounds and lights and no plastic opening doors. i think this set is better than the 9th/10th doctors tardis playset.
Why because its more sturdy and holds together better. the other set was very flimsy. the wall columns never fixed in probebly to the top of the timerotor. where as this set is alot more fixed together and lighter to. so if you want to take it to a friends for some reason then you can just pickit up and take it without having to take it apart.
i score this set 10/10 and score the old set 8/10

I just want to say, although the Cyber-Sentry of the set may not be what you saw in the episode, would you really want a loose Cyberman head with all rubbery cables and stuff jutting out from underneath?
They could have made a Cyberman which was just the robotic shell trying to kill and get some new replacement parts, but it was crazy when I saw it! Its probably better as a toy to be justa really scrapped Cyberman.

I got this today, I’ve just finished assembling it. It looks nicer than the previous version, and actually isn’t too much smaller. The only downside is the fact that it’s not electronic. BTW, I got it in Argos, so have the Cyberman figure. Nothing is removable, so if it’s supposed to be the Cyberman from “The Pandorica Opens” (which it is, considering the sword in its chest plate), then it’s incorrect, as the Cyberman in the episode was missing an arm. Overall, I’m pleased with it.

Yeah, megashorts’s tardis playset review said you could move the chair anywear. Forwards into the tardis so your figure could reach the controls and even you could move it downstairs into the heart of the tarids bit is where the swing is so you could have a little party down stairs.

Just got mine from the Argos store in Sunderland; the last one in stock. Not had chance to construct it yet, but took out the Cyberman figure. The figure is very good but the sword looked a bit too obtrusive and cheap looking, so i decided to cut it off and the figure looks a lot better! Thats my view anyway!

Ugh, the problem with it is that they’ve tried to compress the TARDIS into such a small space, and it just doesn’t work! They should’ve put some effort in it, make it larger, and it some lights and sounds and actually include the staircase they missed and priced it at up to £130

I dont think its entirely bad, and it is worth something. You can still use it and although the materials and texture of the stairs, walls, curves and framing is unbearably terrible looking and just LAME, it does look pretty great and inspite of falling short on the Series 5 Tardis console room, it does still represent some of the exotic design and special specialness from that Tardis, but it sure was quite a shocker when I first saw the thing! Ooohoo!
But my favourite Tardis in existance is that wonderful room of The Eighth Doctor.

Hey I’m getting this for Xmas can’t wait gonna be so cool, this is gonna be fun and this means I can start my DWFA after Christmas for 2011 YEAH, I just wish the doors were made of plastic, but anyway its still a brilliant ‘reproduction’ of the Tardis and the Cyberman is amazingly detailed, I like that they added the sword in but maybe? they could have made a removable cybus logo so you can do a before and after that would be cool!

DoctorWho collection here I have confirmed it willl be one of the best toys i will have it from argos for sure i have 12 near me and they allways get like 12 in because i went in for my end of time figures it said they had 12 and it was counting to 4 because someone who was next to me got them to custom. i got 11 dr regenerated

It all unpacked now and i have put the box away.
Is it worth the money, well although the cybermen is not screen accurate to me it looks great so getting an £8 figure with the set make it good value from Argos. The money has gone into the console and wherever you buy it from you wont be disappointed in it as long as you realise its basically a static model for displaying figures.

Booboo a coulple of questions.
1.do you have to build in out of the box?
2. is it flimsey ike the previoues playset?
3. Does the cardboard slip out of where it shoud be?
4. does the cybermans body come appart ( like the head and arm) like in the episode.

Hey Booboo. Just a few questions on this:
1. Do you only get one chair?
2. Does the portable scanner move around?
3. Can it be extended/pulled down?
4. Do you get a swing on the lower level because on the promo pic, there’s one, but on yours there isn’t?
5. Is the ‘balcony’ just printed? It looks like it’s 3D but I suspect otherwise.
6. Does the Cyberman still retain all normal articulation?

Yes it was in the box wrapped in plastic attached to one of the side card pieces with wire, there is no reference on the box anywhere that its included

When i bought my david tennant tardis playset in 2006, i havent ever used the light or sound so to me this will sort of be the same. No light and sound on both. At least the flight control tardis has lights and sounds but i probally WILL be intreseted on there lights and sounds because if you take off it makes the materilizing noise and if you spin it around it makes that noise and so on and so on and so on. I will be more intrested in the flight control tardis sounds like i said earlier.
