Dalek Battle pod for me! It’s the only one that would be presumably in scale with the main collection, rather than just oversized versions of figurines that we already have.

I also voted for Dalek Battle Pod as it’s the only one I would actually buy. I am not interested in just getting a bigger version of something I’ve already got.

      Mondasian Cyberman (Classic)

      Genesis Dalek

      K-9 (Modern)

You know what would be cool to make? A 12 inch Bessie in scale with the 5.5 figures (cause I figure that 12 inches is gonna be far to big for their normal figurines).

      September 18th, 2017 - 3:17pm

I sometimes reluctantly order from them when I have no other options. Not that their online service is bad, but they just never seem to have stock in. And this goes for their stores too.

I collect a few other lines, namely the 1:55 scale PIXAR Cars diecasts. Months we’ve been waiting for re-stocks and…nothing.
In my experience they have slowly been going down hill over the last few years in terms of keeping up with demand for products. So it’s no surprise to me.
They are due their own exclusive line of the 1:55 Disney Cars but it seems Mattel (the company who make them) have now actually issued them as general releases going by what’s being found on Ebay. So maybe that’s why the recent 5.5″ figures were no longer exclusive to Toy R us? It did say in an article that their suppliers may now only supply if Toys R Us if they pay “at the door” so to speak. Which is how Character options lost a lot of money with Woolworths owing them debt.

    • The Outcast

      September 18th, 2017 - 3:43pm

Agreed. Toys R Us are one of the only mainstream retailers to stock Doctor Who stuff and it’s death would damage the line even more.

      September 18th, 2017 - 4:26pm

Sad if toys r us did go, but would forbidden planet take up more doctor who merchandise as a result, exclusives and main stream.

    • booboo

      September 18th, 2017 - 4:31pm

Toys r us have a far bigger reach and impulse buy market that’s the worry here

Especially for any mass market re launch planned for the 13th doctor

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby

      September 18th, 2017 - 4:30pm

In terms of merchandise, the last new items they’ve stocked are the Twelfth Doctor’s Sonic and the Thirteen Doctors Set. For whatever reason they didn’t stock the Tenth Doctor in Tuxedo, the Hoodie Twelfth Doctors or the Ninth/Tenth Doctor’s TARDIS playset so obviously Wave 1 of the Collector’s Series didn’t sell that well for them and they weren’t interested in Wave 2. This is probably because Wave 2 didn’t feature any monsters and consisted only of three Doctor variants, which aren’t enough to interest people.

Didn’t the BBC sell the rights to some of the incidental music from Doctor Who and some of the themes, is this maybe the reason we haven’t had an official album released in a while?

I was more thinking of accessibility for people, London, Cardiff or Longleat can be far for people from the north and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. At least in Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester or Nottingham are in the middle of England so are more easy and quicker to get too for people.

I collect them both and can only say the same as BooBoo really, it depends on what you like. Once you factor in the specials, etc. from the Figurine Collection, it’ll cost about the same, they both take up a lot of space and you really need to get the full set of either to get complete enjoyment from them.

https://youtu.be/73JtY9WSaGY I’ve uploaded the audio here. I just wanted people who didn’t go a chance to just hear it because there is a great speech near the start near the 1:50 minute mark

The problem as I understand it from their tweets was that the extension had not yet formally happened but there were no problems from Eaglemoss or the BBC.

In short they were getting the extension but as it hadn’t been “officially” given the go ahead they didn’t have an actual number yet.

Hopefully it will reopen. Can’t see why they would go to the trouble of restoring some more Classic monsters if they weren’t going to do anything with them.

I’m sure it will somewhere but probably with Doctor 13 and an entirely new walk through

I hope the next one has even more classic monsters!
Also, does anyone know why the Two Doctors Sontaran isn’t there anymore. I’ve been looking at some videos for the classic monster section, but can’t see it there. I remember it being in the original london version (which I went to about 3 times), but it’s not in the current one.

Wasn’t there meant to be a monster event?

That monster event was on July 22nd. A cyberman event. By the sounds of it it sounds like a normal day but probably with some kind of party or something like that. I’m really annoyed that they haven’t announced that much because it’s fully booked and it doesn’t seem thay well planned out. I’ve been there before but I just feel that it will be so busy they realise that they were very un organised for it

Remembrance of the Daleks and Caves of Androzani (I haven’t seen the latter, but it’s very highly rated).

Start with an episode of one of the the Doctor’s first stories. I’d recommend Spearhead From Space and carry on and see what you think. Same with the other Doctor’s. Or if the villian in the episode Interests you watch the story/stories
