Christopher Constantinou
August 18th, 2014 - 2:07pmThey should bring out a jenny figure instead of the captain jack figure
CB Doctor
August 18th, 2014 - 7:01pmI know. It seemed a bit odd that it wasn’t that way. Maybe that had problems with making Jenny or something? I think she will definitely be in Series 5.

August 18th, 2014 - 11:16amright, so these are in FP now…so should be in normal shops come christmas…

August 17th, 2014 - 9:09pmWhy does the War Doctor have the long coat when Christopher Eccleston didn’t? Aren’t they the same/same type of jacket?
100000BC
August 17th, 2014 - 10:39pmNo, the war doctor’s jacket was brown, rather older- looking and longer.

August 17th, 2014 - 11:58pmI’m hoping to get all of them
MrHaloWho
August 18th, 2014 - 12:08amOh, yes. So it is. Having compared the images, I agree with you, but they are very similar style.
CB Doctor
August 18th, 2014 - 8:12amI thought about that when I first saw the image too. They have started using long coats for a lot of figures now. I think that it suits the War Doctor more than the 9th Doctor.

August 18th, 2014 - 11:27amWhich doctor do you like
CB Doctor
August 18th, 2014 - 7:04pmAnonymous – I like the War Doctor for the detail, but I’m split between the War Doctor and the 12th Doctor in this wave.

August 17th, 2014 - 11:59pmWich doctor do you like
dra
August 17th, 2014 - 2:27pmdoes the eleventh doctor with handles have grey hair cause if it does all u need to do is get the 11th doctor in this wave paint the hair grey. then get a cyberman’s head and make it look damaged like handles and you’ve got your own handles and the doctor. and if u want your own wooden cyberman just paint or carefully color in with a permanent marker the cyberman and color the blue in yellow/orange and u have your own wooden cyberman
Handbot10
August 17th, 2014 - 2:53pmit does but the paint aps on the 11th doctor’s face is different.and anyway, where would you get the body.
CB Doctor
August 17th, 2014 - 9:25pmHandbot10 is right about ‘The Eleventh Doctor with Handles’ figure. I was also going to make a custom ‘Wooden Cyberman’ figure in a similar way to what you said. I think that could work well.

August 17th, 2014 - 1:32pmAll of the tescos I go in have sports stars, scooby doo and monsters vs aliens in abundance but none of these! :'(
dra
August 17th, 2014 - 1:45pmthat’s the same for me its like they’ve forgotten about the doctor who character building
100000BC
August 17th, 2014 - 2:05pmI know one tesco that will have them if I go in the right week…! They briefly had wave 3 and the 50th wave. Opposite there is the entertainer and nearby is toys r us, so if I go i might catch this wave somewhere!
dra
August 17th, 2014 - 2:21pmin the Tesco near me they had wave 1 and 2, wave 3 for a week and that was it and theres a toys r us near there and i go there and they only have the sets
CB Doctor
August 17th, 2014 - 7:10pmYeah, shops are beginnings to stop selling Doctor Who CB, which makes me annoyed and worried that they are becoming unpopular (and therefore discontinued).
100000BC
August 17th, 2014 - 8:57pmMaybe the display brix will help shops and customers see them as a new product…? I hope that as Capaldi may be more popular, so may the toys. At my local tesco, cb W2 was sold once it opened, but it was already old and that may have caused them to think that they were unpopular whereas in fact, we regular buyers just already had them all. In toys r us, they never did waves 3 or 50th, probably because they still have leftover wave 1 and 2. Since the last wave of bricks sold out, I am hoping that they will get enough w4 to satisfy whovians.
CB Doctor
August 19th, 2014 - 8:35pmI hope that display brix (and the new packaging style) will renew customers’ and stores’ view of them. When I go into Tesco and that have Doctor Who CB, I try and get as many as I can in the hope that they will sell them in the future.

CB Doctor
August 15th, 2014 - 8:49pmYou can order it from Character or Forbidden Planet (Character deliver sooner). They aren’t in many stores yet, but are online.
It is kind of a good thing that you missed this – It came as a surprise. But don’t worry, they are still in stock and only came out at the start of the month.

August 16th, 2014 - 1:59pmSo why?
CB Doctor
August 13th, 2014 - 6:14pmJust got mine today (from Character). I wasn’t sure with the Twelfth Doctor’s head at first, but it looks much better in person. The Body mold accessory for Strax looks a bit cheap, but overall a good figure. Still waiting on order from Forbidden Planet.

Rebel Time Lord
August 12th, 2014 - 8:28amThis sounds like a fantastic wave maybe you should send the list into character. They might make it 🙂
CB Doctor
August 12th, 2014 - 6:51pmI really like some of your ideas, I think that wave 5 might be:
12th Doctor (in some kind of costume variation)
Clara (different costume)
Jenny
Danny Pink
Cyberman (with the middle circle closed)
Dalek (Don’t know which one, but they do it every wave)
Variation of 12th doctor or clara figure
Other S8 character
Other S8 character
Other S8 monster/alien
Other S8 monster/alien
Other S8 character OR monster/alien
I know that I haven’t been specific, but that’s what i think Series 5 will be like.

August 11th, 2014 - 11:03pmBooboo are they still doing variety packs and why does john hurt have tenths sonic
CB Doctor
August 12th, 2014 - 6:38pmI have contacted them, and there is no information on variety packs. The War Doctor has tenths sonic because Character try to save on molds, so re-use many pieces when they don’t really need to make a new one. I think that they should have made one, as it is unique to the other screwdrivers.
The Living Shadow
August 16th, 2014 - 3:38pmThey should have gave him a classic one, because all we’d need to do is cut off the top part, and we’d have it!
CB Doctor
August 18th, 2014 - 8:14amYes, that’s what I have done for my figure. (Using a spare classic sonic)
HalfPintOfInnes
August 11th, 2014 - 7:46pmJust ordered a box of 36 from CO, already ordered about 25 of them already
DWFAN1
August 11th, 2014 - 7:40pmI also think blind bricks and blind bags are not fair maybe blind bricks look cool but it’s so unfair. I don’t doing common, Uncommon, rare are fair so I don’t really see what is wrong showing us what we get or having writing on them telling us who we get.
DWFAN1
August 11th, 2014 - 7:42pmI mean commom, uncommon and rare are UNFAIR
CB Doctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:27pmThey were quite appealing at first, but then it got out of hand. Character still think its a good idea.
Also, LEGO tried it with ‘Mr Gold’, and even then they produced something like 10,000 figures. I’m guessing hat it proved unpopular as they haven’t been doing super rare figures recently.
StetsonDoctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:14pmHas anyone else that owns the figures noticed that their heads are a lot small than those of previous figures? For example, Twelve’s head sculpt look tiny compared to Eleven’s…
CB Doctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:30pmI think that they are trying to get the head more proportional to the body of the figures. I think that Character would redo the 11th doctor’s head sculpt with more detail and a smaller shape if they could.
StetsonDoctor
August 11th, 2014 - 8:13pmOh yes-don’t get me wrong, I love the new size, even if it doesn’t quite fit with older figures. CB has come a long way in 3 years…
SAnthony1138
August 11th, 2014 - 8:30pmIf it really is noticeable.. these will likely be the last ones I buy. Even then, it’s mainly the War Doctor I’m after. Between this, the move away from blind bags and the Ridiculous Rares I may be out of this game.
CB Doctor
August 11th, 2014 - 6:42pmThe super rares for Series 4 are SUPER rare:
[75] The 11th Doctor with Handles
[100] Clara Oswald
[50] Wooden Cyberman
[75] The Eleventh Doctor from The Crimson Horror
[50] Captain Jack Harkness
I really think that there is no point in looking for them with this series. Even though they look cool, they are unbelievably rare.
PS: I have an image, that I can email to be put up on the site.
the astronaut of death
August 11th, 2014 - 6:43pmNice gavitar

August 11th, 2014 - 6:43pm[email protected]
CB Doctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:03pmThanks booboo, I’ll email that now.
Radburn
August 11th, 2014 - 7:15pmSilly! That’s even less than the previous Super Rares…
StetsonDoctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:16pmHow can you look through the DisplayBrix for them? Lol. It’s bad enough getting the normal figures-I bought 5 packs and only got 2 different figures!!! 🙁
CB Doctor
August 11th, 2014 - 7:20pmI Know! It’s stupid – I think that they should do the ‘Super rare’ figures as exclusives with newspapers, like they have previously done with the Doctor (blue tie), Amy, and Eternal Dalek. You can still find those figures on Ebay, meaning that collectors would still be able to complete their collection without spending hundreds of pounds.
DWFAN1
August 11th, 2014 - 7:22pmWhy did Character Building Doctor Who do Super Rare Figures they are not fair and none of the other brands have them
alexanderop
August 10th, 2014 - 9:23pmWhere are these available? Will Toy Shops and Argos be getting them in?
76 Totters Lane
August 10th, 2014 - 9:17pmIf they can be bothered to sculpt some swords for Vastra, then surely they could have adapted the sculpt for the 3rd/4th/5th/8th sonic and created the War Doctor’s sonic?
SAnthony1138
August 11th, 2014 - 3:43amActually Id bet they are reused from the earlier Character Building figures. Thats how Roman Rory got a sword, Pirate Amy her saber, etc.
76 Totters Lane
August 11th, 2014 - 11:25amOh, okay. But still, it’d only take a few tweaks.
