Led by Mother Superious Tasha Lem, the Church of the Papal Mainframe is a religious organisation fronted by a gigantic spaceship containing a massive computer database safeguarding the security of information across the universe.
The Mainframe has highly advanced technology, with powerful weapons and their own military force, commanded by Colonel Manton. Manton conspired with the clergywoman Madame Kovarian to kidnap Amy Pond’s baby, intending to train her to become the perfect assassin to kill the Doctor.
