Doctor Who Victory of the Daleks Figure Set

SDCC Victory of the Daleks Collectors’ Set

This is now available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com. Due 18th July!

Our own images… It has to be said that this figure looks considerably better in hand, the likeness is very good and pictures just dont do it justice…

Underground Toys is thrilled to be releasing details of our Doctor Who: Victory of the Daleks – Collectors’ Set

Set consists of Dalek ironside with tea tray
Winston Churchill figure with 2 heads (one with hat and one without)
Alternative hand
2 pairs of removable glasses
3 telephones

The Doctor has been summoned by his old friend Winston Churchill but in the Cabinet War Rooms, far below the streets of blitz-torn London, he finds his oldest enemy waiting for him… The Daleks are back! And can Churchill really be in league with them?

The Ironsides were designed to be the perfect warrior, after the concept was dreamt up by Professor Bracewell, seemingly from nowhere.

In actual fact, these new weapons which Winston Churchill wanted to use to win the war were in fact Daleks, who had fallen back through time and needed the Doctor to be able to create the new Dalek race.

Professor Bracewell was in fact an android built by the Daleks, part of a complex trap to lure the Doctor back to where they were hiding, so he would unwittingly allow the Dalek race to be reborn thanks to his testimony. The new Daleks appeared, and exterminated the Ironsides.

The three Ironside major variants…

Contents include: 1 x Winston Churchill action figure, 1 x Ironside Dalek action figure with Tea Tray, plus extras!

Based on what we know will you be buying this set?…

Awesome ! It looks great 🙂

I still wish they had done a set for Series 6, but this one is great.

Getting it because Winston Churchill has met the Doctor’s other incarnations, so that would be fun. 😉

Just ordered this, River Song and Pandorica Chair, 2011 Blue Crash Set, Amy Pond (Pandorica Wave) and Roman Auton (Pandorica Wave) and then thats me done with series 5 figures so far, which is brilliant, and only need 2 more Series 6 Figures, even though I stopped collecting figures at the start of the year, I have just started again, and am very happy to be anticipating the day the postman comes, missed that feeling, so good to finally feel it again 🙂

Wait, there was an exclusive for the London one, it was Amelia pond with suitcase. I think she was in her coat, and it was exclusive to the Experience. Sucks cus I went second day it opened and that was announced the day after.

    • booboo

      July 17th, 2012 - 3:54pm

same thing happened to us, i really hope they have got their act together with the merchandise this time and have any exclusives available from day 1

    • andrew

      July 17th, 2012 - 3:57pm

So you think there will be another exclusive for this one? I hope its classic this time, it would be nice if they could sell classic stuff there! Looking forward to seeing the monsters again, and of course the 80s TARDIS console!

Brilliant price. Only reason I’m not getting it is because a)I don’t have the money b)All my figures end up broken and lost and I couldn’t be able to live with myself if either of those happened to Sir Churchill!

…and the day you don’t buy it, is the day it disappears! I made that mistake with the Dalek Collector’s Set # 2 & can now regret at leisure that it goes for around a £100 a go now. The one thing I’m still after that I wish I had bought at the time!

    July 16th, 2012 - 4:38pm

Only, one thing about this set that bugs me, it looks like Winston has no leg joints – unless this is just a prototype, and they will fix it for when it’s released, but still a good set – any news on more series 6 releases for this year or next, or will CO be concentrating on series 7?

this set is very good but its a shame about the glasses. I am a bit worried that i will lose them becuase they are very small. so booboo what do you think to this set now you have got it? is it better than the other comic con figures we have had?

do you also know when it will be on FP?

      July 16th, 2012 - 4:59pm

I will admit when i first saw it i really didn’t like it, i thought it looked nothing like Churchill (the Actor)

now i have it i was wrong, the likeness is really good and the set is a lot of fun, the glasses are fiddly admittedly – but with 2 heads and the phones and a good variant dalek i dont think you can go wrong with this.
