The Doctor Who Alien Attax Trading Card game has now launched and the collection lets fans of the iconic series re-live the drama.
The cards offer a fun accompaniment to the historic British show and features the top characters from the last 50 years, right up to the present day.
In all there are 240 cards, including special foil and Animotion designs.
Doctor Who Alien Attax packets of nine cards normally retail at £1 and starter packs – which feature a collector binder, game guide, game mat and a packet of cards, plus a limited edition Animotion card – are £4.99.
So to kick-start your Doctor Who Alien Attax trading card collection today, cut out the voucher and swap it for your FREE cards at your local ASDA store.
The voucher from The Sun can be exchanged at any participating ASDA stockist for one free packet of Doctor Who Alien Attax. Offer strictly subject to availability. don’t like the add as its misleading, people buy the paper assuming they are with it then they have to make another journey to get them

The Daily Mirror actually had the Merlin stickers inside when they did it. So it is a bit of a cheat for just one shop to redeem them/

March 30th, 2013 - 11:07amthey did this a couple of years ago with (if anyone can remember) the dr who DVD that had the end of time parts one and 2 and the eleventh hour on it, where the Sun said you get it free with them, then when i brought it, it said in the small print you had to go down to WHSMITH to get it! CON! (although i still got it in the end 🙂 ) booboo, do you remember this?

For those who go once a week, the voucher has a redemption period.
The Star has a full cover tv supplement. I doubt many of you collect them, but it appears to be the only magazine with anything on the cover.

March 30th, 2013 - 3:50amI’m not collecting these, but I’ll be getting the Sun tomorrow, so I’ll post on here what I got and see if everyone gets the same cards in each pack with the newspaper. As I’ve gotten older my interest in cards and figures has decreased but I prefer collectables like figurines and other memorabilia. I collected every single BIT card, started MI then lost interest, and I’ll stick to just this one pack and hope I get nice characters. Every now and again I still look through my BIT binders 🙂 They were, in my opinion, the best cards.

March 30th, 2013 - 7:31amIn some WHS and not others; whether it is timing or stocking policies do not know. Look for a standalone dumpbin display near the checkout. Smaller WHS may not have this, but a few issues behind the counter. I have checked one town and one city and neither have the tin, yet some have found it.
All very inconsistent for a launch, but given a few days it should be everywhere.

March 29th, 2013 - 9:53pmi think all the packs of cards are all the same in each packet in the sun, they usually do that, same with booster packs, everything is the same because people buy loads, then they lose money because they could basically get the whole collection at half price, so people saying im buying 3 copies of the sun, watch out. maybe buy 2 copies, then if they are different, go ahead and buy the whole load!

If not a packet then a small “sheet” of cards re the Merlin stickers (although unlikely), although they would have to be perforated, and that would not look great.
Saturday could yield some tv supplement covers anyway.
