December 1st, 2021 - 11:53amI’ll get this when it’s released as a collected edition but I’m not expecting much. I’ve never read a piece of expanded media ever that has gotten Rose’s voice right. Nobody ever seems to be able to encapsulate the Rose we see on screen, the same with Donna. Her dialogue just doesn’t sit naturally at all. Will be interesting to see if this comic falls down the same hole or actually works well.
The only Doctor I’ve seen done right in comics is surprisingly 13. My least favorite is the one they seem to do the most accurately. I can hear her speaking as I’m reading her lines. Oh and actually 12 and Clara were also done well but that’s mainly because there’s not really any depth to their usual dialogue on screen. It’s more straightforward back and forth speak that can be emulated as well in comics as it can on screen
