Character Options own website now listing this design of the figure as “in stock” @ £6.99, hope it is not another mix-up as in the recent BBC shop website “Regenerated” version instead.

WAIT ! is this the only version of the 12th Doctor being made ?.

I thought they was going to be doing 2 versions ?, the one shown above and another with a bit of a smile and the red lining of the inside of his coat.

They were doing 2 versions, but the BBC told character options not to sell the other one as it was so bad, so this is its replacement

I ordered mine from Hamleys happily, although the man said it would probably be here next week I was kind of hoping it would get here in time for DW on Saturday. Although since I did want to get a couple of 12’s with paint differences n all, hopefully Argos might get them in today or Saturday.

It looks nothing like Capaldi, and it’s missing the main stand-out feature of his outfit.

    Won’t be buying this.

Hang on, I’m confused. So are these just official pictures of the figure that’s already out in Hamleys stores? Something about the face sculpt looks slightly different… I think it might just be me though.

So they’ve got the wrong picture in the catalogue AND the backing 🙄 Wonder what they’d do if you got this from Argos and showed them their image isn’t what you got? Would they just re-fund you?

Would prefer it in burgundy as it would stand out more but no doubt we will be getting variants of this so a burgundy may be on it’s way…

He doesn’t have a burgundy costume – only a navy one. He only wore burgundy after the regeneration when still wearing Matt Smith’s clothes

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      September 25th, 2014 - 8:06pm

He means the burgundy shirt from Robot of Sherwood.

    • Trenzalore

      September 25th, 2014 - 8:07pm

He wore Burgundy in Robot of Sherwood, though you could argue it’s violet or something but I don’t have my dulux colour chart on me to check the exact colour 😆

    • Dalekparadigm2

      September 25th, 2014 - 8:17pm

I though it WAS purple at one point and slowly changed in and out of burgundy. #alienshirt!

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      September 25th, 2014 - 8:17pm

      I agree with you Trenzalore. If we could only get 3 more Capaldi variants, I’d choose;

      Robot of Sherwood (burgundy shirt)
      Listen (black jumper)
      The Caretaker (caretaker uniform)

    • StetsonDoctor

      September 25th, 2014 - 9:59pm

I’d like to see a waistcoat version (from the latter half of the season) and a sweater version (from listen + the caretaker)

  • Sam Richard Bentley

    September 25th, 2014 - 7:23pm

See, I think this looks more like Capaldi than the first sculpt. The first one had the likeness, but it was a caricature! It was a cartoon! With a very inaccurate expression!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I think this is a much better sculpt from what I have seen.
