At one time Christmas Day on the BBC meant The Morecambe & Wise Show for families to gather around the TV but in the modern era that mantle has now been taken by the Doctor Who Christmas Special.

This release brings together the music of the last two Christmas specials broadcast on Christmas Day 2011 and 2012 and watched by a joint audience of close to 20m.

oh great! cant these be in the normal soundtracks, they are just asking for more money here. the tracks for the snowmen could easily have been on it as they have been released at the same time

But this is The Snowmen and the Doctor the Widow and the Wardrobe not just The Snowmen. I have the Series 7 soundtrack and both disks are full to the brim. If they did cram on The Snowmen it would only be 1 or 2 tracks and they would then release another disk for other the Widow and the Wardrobe anyway.

good point, but I still think they should do it all together somehow, whether it means three disks, as they ar part of the series, and with so many tracks in the s7 track, it doesn’t seem so much worth it.

Finally! The Snowmen is my favourite episode and was disappointed when it didn’t get its own soundtrack. The music is excellent!

The TDTWATW cover is on the flipside so you can chose what episode cover you want on the front depending on what side you slip the booklet onto in the front 😀

Again. Wish they would include the “FEEM TOON”. Has it not been reworked slightly along with the title graphics?

It is strange that it is omitted again, perhaps its being saved for a ‘Day of the Doctor’ soundtrack release, hopefully as a fill theme.
