The End of Time Ltd Ed Sonic Screwdriver

The End of Time Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver

* An extension of the Tardis’ fantastic advanced technology, this is the Doctor’s second best friend.

* It’s a multi-functional device that operates by emitting pulses or waves of sound energy.

* So powerful it can break rock, shake a lock mechanism loose or vibrate the molecules of a material so fast they weld together.

* With various power settings and functions we’ve yet to see, the Sonic Screwdriver is the ultimate indispensable tool to have when adventuring through time and space!

* This faithful copy of the Doctor’s trusty Sonic Device activates in either closed or open mode.

* Pressing the button on the side of the handle activates the UV LED and sound FX.

* Remove the hilt cap of the Screwdriver to reveal hidden coded messages from your friends and enemies.

* Black ink pen also included.

* Requires 3 x LR44 batteries (supplied for demonstration only).

* For ages 5 years and over.

I got mine about 5 years ago but not as this one. In five day’s I managed to loose the cap to the slidder. This acttally helped as the screw looked like the slidder button

I like Character Options’ toys but I wish they’d make the toys just a little bit more like the tv prop. For instance, the Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver has two buttons at the side: one for when it’s up, one for when it’s down. However, the prop used on the show has just one button on the extender slide, which I think would be better as you can keep holding the button while it’s extending. The same goes for the Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver, when it’s extended you have to use the red button underneath the cap at the bottom of the screwdriver but in the show he uses the same button for when it’s closed.

This looks good and all but what’s the point of it?? I mean it’s got cool packaging and all I suppose but how is the screwdriver any different to the original?? Unless I’m mistaken and it is slightly different to the original. No offence to the people who really like this toy I just wouldn’t buy it. To be honest, I don’t really care about the packaging anyway. Still, the screwdriver itself is a good toy but I’ve recently bought the new 11th Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver and, apart from the red button thingy, it’s very good and I recommend to all Doctor Who fans!

And i checked again today, earlier on (obviously, i hardly checked in the
future only to travel back in time to..you get the picture) and they had it in stock in Argos! EXCELLLLLLL-ENTISAMO! The UV light is so strong and the pen is pretty neat, and i like the wee sound it makes when you de-extend it and i really really like it quite alot! 🙂 Thats what I will be saying when Argos finally gets this freakin thing i mean oh my Gizzle Gizzle they still have no Dr Who products in stock what a bunch of losers! How much longer am i going to have to freakin wait?!

This is not (entirely) irrelevant. On Tuesday the 26th 2010, two days ago, i went sheppinsince school was cancelled because the teachers coffee supply caught fire or something. So I went to Argos (after checking HMV out and buying Battlefield which is probably really good) to find they have the new Catalogue! 🙂 The End of Time Figures, not in stock :(, but the Classic Series Wave 2 was in the Catalogue! 🙂 Which was terribly rumoured to have been released as late as April :(. So its great to see its available a little sooner. 🙂 Well, it was until I saw it was not available, not in stock. 🙁 DANG!

And as i looked accross the page afew inches to the right, i saw the Sonic Screwdriver! 🙂 Which was not in stock :(, but when it is in stock, £9.99 is all it costs! 🙂 But until then, I`ll be waiting :(.
But atleast it means I have something to lok forward to. 🙂 And they did have ONE product in store. 🙂 Which was easily the least desirable :(, but i had planned to buy this one, so i can hardly complain! 🙂

It was the Masters Ring 🙁 (not really, its a plastic version of the Masters ring but why am i complaining?!) , and the journal of Impossible Tings :). The End.

Excellent! I got a Sonic Screwdriver torch as a surprise kristmis treat, but this thing is the real deal and its mine!, shortly. You get the light, the sound effect, it extends out, and the black bit can be removed to reveal a pen!

And speaking of pens, you can write invisible ink which the light reveals, or is that a different sonic toy? I wonder how much is it cost? £12?

And when is the new agros catalogue out? Last time i checked (which was pretty damn recently) they still didnt have it! Ill check this morning, school is cancelled for the day 🙂 so you cant arrest me for truancing, knowing the way things are there will be nothing new, in which case i will go to HMV and buy Friday the 13th 3 and 4, and Battlefield.
