July 31st, 2013 - 7:28amThat happens for too often for my liking. The worst occasion was when it happened to my Old Tenth Doctor figure from Last of the Time Lords. Had to go and buy another, which was a pain because the set he comes in is rather rare.

July 30th, 2013 - 5:57pmIf they’d based the 3rd Doctor set on the Planet of the Daleks comic strip, they could’ve used the existing Pertwee sculpt no problem. AND we’d have got the ‘red top’ Dalek with the red and blue lamps, which would have just needed a repaint of the Dalek Supreme sculpt. I’d have been falling over myself to buy that set.

July 30th, 2013 - 5:53pm8th Doctor set – brilliant. McGann in his blue comics coat and Dalek Alpha. A must buy for me.
2nd Doctor – this is gonna have to be packed in with at least one other figure to justify the cost of the new sculpt, I’d guess, so a cautious thumbs up, depending on how much the final set is priced at.
3rd Doctor set – REALLY disappointed with this one, mostly because of the Pertwee figure. Jon wore a distinctive double breasted jacket in this story that’s pretty much different from any jacket he wore before or after. This isn’t it…

July 31st, 2013 - 7:31amI don’t intend to buy many. Perhaps 8 and 11, though it depends what variant of 11 we get. Here’s hoping for a one-off The Snowmen figure. I wouldn’t put it entirely past Character, though I’d say it’s more likely we’d get that if they were to do a second 5’inch 11 Doctors set, based on the Character Building one.

July 30th, 2013 - 3:50pmAl Has confirmed there will be no Yeti with the 2nd Doctor. The 2nd Doctor figure will be a general release on a diorama background.
Makes me think we might get a general release variant of each Doctor, as it would be a bit strange just to make a 2nd Doctor variant all by itself for the general market.

That 3rd Doctor is just a thing of beauty! What a great colour scheme. And that invisible Dalek.
Even though I don’t collect the figures anymore, I think ill have to get the 3rd Doctor Dalek pack just out of sheer curiosity for seeing that Dalek with my own 2 eyes. And display the 3rd Doctor somewhere as that costume is just brilliant!
Let’s hope that 2nd Doctor comes with a Yeti at least!

July 30th, 2013 - 3:25pmi can not wait for the these to come out however the 2nd dr has made me think could the dr come with jamie since they said that he would be relesed from the film the abominable snowmen i think there bringing out the doc before the set comes out , however its good to see the 3rd doc and the 2 i might get the 8 not too sure but hey its somthing new . i woulnt be getting the first doc but if i did i possibly just get it for the the dalek and keep the doc as a spare incase i loose the other one

Personally, I’d be satisfied even if we got just a proper, screen-accurate Asylum of the Daleks Doctor – white shirt with blue stripes, Series 6 hair style, striped brown tweed. That’d do me. As long as they painted the tweed better than that atrocious A Christmas Carol figure.

Do you think that the last remaining sets will be released with another wave? I personaally do not because the other day my mum and I went to Toys ‘R’ Us and I bought The Doctor and Clara to make customs, anyway, on the back of Clara’s packaging there was a picture of Wave 1 and the Hide set and Angels Take Manhattan! So I don’t really understand why the two last sets are being releases later than all the rest! Confusing if you ask me! What’s your opinion?

July 30th, 2013 - 1:50pmI’ve just zoomed in on the pictures of the Daleks and am not sure whether you can see this but Dalek Alpha and The Sprayed Dalek have the Dead Planet Daleks gun. Not sure whether these are Prototypes and if they are we’ll probably have to wait a couple of weeks yet.
