Yes, I recommended folk follow his twitter feed. You don’t even have to be on twitter, you can just see his page. He’s giving out lots of info on what is and isn’t planned, and when stuff is due out. Well worth a look. Note – there will NOT be Jamie or Yeti figures, nothing planned at all. He made that very clear.

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2013 - 8:17pm

Jamie not planned this year, yeti not planned at all, big difference

    • Moid

      July 31st, 2013 - 8:25pm

Hmm, I dunno about that. Some of his answers are hard to interpret. Like this one, does he mean no forever, or just not in the next year?

      – “Will we ever get a Jamie? E.g. In the next year?”

      – “categorical absolute definite … No”

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2013 - 8:28pm

    • Andrew

      July 31st, 2013 - 4:46pm

Well tbh I don’t mind the delay as long as its for something awesome, but probably not, and i was really looking forward to teh COA set. Plus, on FPs site, it still has teh same dates, booboo, any info??

    • Radburn

      July 31st, 2013 - 4:56pm

Things always get delayed – It does not mean they will put something in it’s place. The Plush Weeping Angel is also supposed to be out today & a month back the lastest 5 Bluw Wind-Up Daleks were supposedly due out. The Plush 11th. Doctor was pushed back to late October. The 2014 Annual is supposed to be out tomorrow? It’s August & the second lot of TRU Exclusies are still not out? The Titans 10th Doctor 2nd Set Vinyls have been left to the end of August instead of the beginning…Can you see a theme here?

a good 6 figure series 7 alien set would be:
    vastra
    new cyberman
    strax in suit
    whisper man
    ice warrior
    gunslinger
    ideas for large sets;
doctor and clara with new tardis bells of st john-including antigrav triumph and swappable head clara and doctor with helmet on.
    prime minster dalek with darla.
11th tardis inside. i thought a good set would be if they made the tardis interior like the old 11th. and you buy the first set which is the main console room then you can buy other sets to conect the other rooms up to the console and buy corridors

I really think it’s great to see classic figures back on the shelf that you can actually buy in the shop rather than constantly buying exclusive figures of Forbidden Planet. And as nice as it is to see classic Doctors and Daleks sets on the shelf in toys `r` us, I think it would be really great if in 2014 `Character Options` could wrap up the 50th Anniversary figure merchandise with a Classic Series Wave Three, the comment below shows a list of characters who I think should be in that wave:

This is what i think you should have for a classic series wave 3:

    1. The Forth Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver and Swappable Head `Image of the Fendahl`
    2. The Seventh Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver and Swappable Head `The TV Movie`
    3. The Eighth Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver and Equipment Bag `Dark Eyes`
    4. Monoid with Plasma Gun `The Ark`
    5. Daffodil Auton with Swappable Hands `Terror of the Autons`
    6. Kraal `The Android Invasion`
    7. Group Marshal Stike and Wand Gun `The Two Doctors`
Build a Figure: Kandy Man `The Happiness Patrol`

    • Michael

      July 31st, 2013 - 6:48pm

They wouldn’t make a Kandy Man figure due it’s resemblance to Bertie Bassett.

    • Johnny

      August 1st, 2013 - 8:21am

They could make a Kandyman figure if it was “reasonably” different from Bertie Bassett whilst still resembling the actual Kandyman costume.

Alternatively, (although doubtful) they could pay Bassetts a fee to clear the figure of any future copyright claims from Bassetts against the BBC.

Does this mean the eigth doctor story the children of revolution is officaly canon?

    Reply
    • Anonymous

      July 31st, 2013 - 10:57am

No it doesn’t. Why would a toy range define what is canon?

It is officially canon if it has been broadcast by the BBC (so all the TV shows, Big Finish plays that have been played on the radio, webcasts and e-books available on the BBC website).

If you can watch/listen to/read it within the confines of the licence fee its canon (otherwise they cannot confirm it for legal reasons).

“… If you can watch/listen to/read it within the confines of the licence fee its canon (otherwise they cannot confirm it for legal reasons) …”

It’s got nothing at all to do with “legal reasons” or the licence fee as all the Paul McGann Big Finish advantures are legally licenced by the BBC.

It’s up to fandom to decide/debate whether things are “canon” on not and the BBC isn’t interested in the slightest about such things.

I know I say I don’t buy figures – and I don’t any more – but I’ll see what the Eleven and Dalek set looks like, especially if Eleven is a new variant. Id it from Asylum of the Daleks? Becuase if so, it better be a new variant. Just a shame we won’t be getting a 5″ Series 7: PII Doctor.

    • Anonymous

      July 31st, 2013 - 10:59am

It will only be a new variant if it is one a sculpt exists for already.

The Dalek is certainly going to be from Asylum (a metallic Strategist I think) but the Eleventh Doctor could potentially be from anywhere.

    • That Random Whovian

      July 31st, 2013 - 11:23am

I’ve got my fingers crossed for either a The Snowmen Eleventh Doctor or a truly screen-accurate (for once) Eleventh Doctor from Asylum of the Daleks. This would mean Series 6 head sculpt, with blue bow tie and striped shirt, as well as a well-painted striped jacket (unlike the A Christmas Carol figure we got). The latter would do me, to be honest.

    • That Random Whovian

      July 31st, 2013 - 11:25am

Actually, I go back on that. He wasn’t wearing a striped shirt in Asylum of the Daleks, so just a plain white one would suffice.

    • SpiderDalek49

These pictures have sparked a return to collecting these figures for me, as some of them look very appealing. The First Doctor set looks good (just because we finally get the SDCC variant of the 1st Doctor as opposed the the Three Doctors one), I’m intrigued by the 8th Doctor set, and the 2nd Doctor figure looks excellent. Unphased by the 3rd Doctor set though. That purple doesn’t really work.
