Though I hated the episode, I’m picking this up. Will there be any iTunes exclusive tracks? I would have hoped for some better cover art after their fantastic one for ‘The Specials’

Just watched the Dr Who A Christmas Carol for the 3rd time or was it 4th
at age 55 i sit here crying like a baby feeling every word of Abigail’s song.
knowing so deeply the truth that “when you’re alone silence is all you hear”
i think there is just one error in the lyrics posted above, after listening so carefully i can almost sing it from memory …
my hat is off to Katherine Jenkins She is a blessing 😎

“When you’re alone, Silence is all you see,
When you’re alone, Silence is all you’ll be.
Give me your heart to come to me.

“When you are here, music is all around.
When you are near, music is all around.
Open your eyes; don’t make a sound.

“Meet in the shadow! Meet in the shadow!
Meet in the light of your bright shadow!”
    The Lyrics mean
    “Silence will fall”

The correct lyrics for the song are (as taken from the digital booklet)

When you’re alone, silence is all you know.
When you’re alone, silence is all you know
Let in the noise and let it grow.
When you’re alone, silence is all you see
When you’re alone, silence is all you’ll be
Give me your hand and come to me.
When you are here, music is all around.
When you are near, music is all around.
Open your eyes, don’t make a sound.
      (lyrics continued in next comment…)

      (lyrics continued from previous comment)

Let in the shadow, let in the shadow,
Let in the light of your bright shadow.
Let in the shadow, let in the shadow.
Let in the light of your bright shadow.
      Let in the light.
      Let in the light.
Let in the light of your sweet shadow.
      When you’re alone, oh,
      Silence is all you know.
      Silence is all,
      Silence is all around.
      Silence is all
      Silence is all around

There must be quite a few original tracks in “A Christmas Carol”. I can’t help but think that this is to promote Katherine’s “Abigail’s Song”. I’m very happy about the release, though! 🙂
