Is it me or does the Shirt, the Trousers and shoes all from one of the new variants of the 12th Doctor 5″ figures cause if so its a good example of re-using moulds for two completely different action figures

Well we can barely see the shirt, but it probably wouldn’t be a reused sculpt as it has to hold the tie in place with another peg, and the shoes aren’t the same as the 12th Doctor’s boots, so no, nothing is reused

The right hand looks like the eleventh doctors one

It’s definitely not. It’s sculpted to point something, where 11’s is sculpted to hold his Sonic up in a readings-checking position. You’ll find similarities everywhere, but I’m 100% sure none of the figure is from any other figure

it’s looks to me like the generic Sonic SD holding right hand, which is used by the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and time of the doctor 11th Doctor hand! It might be slightly altered though, like the 1st Doctors was to include Hartnell’s ring, although I don’t think Sherlock wears any rings or has anything on his hands worth altering the sculpt for.

I think I read somewhere that Watson, Moriarty, Irene, Mycroft, and the police character whose name escapes me where also being made…I did see the photo of sherlock and Moriarty in a photo posted on this site with the 12th doctor action figures. That may have also been where I read the character list..or on the forum over at whonorthamerica or the Twitter by one of the gentleman posting sdcc photos, happy hunting:)

You read it from me, but I didn’t say there was going to be an Irene. In fact, I specifically remember something about it being male characters to sell.

This figure looks so good! It puts their other recent effort of the 12th Doctor to shame. The likeness to Benedict is extrordinary! This is truely a collectors’ piece, as the Doctor Who collector series should have turned out

It seriously does beg the question why is this so cheaper and comes with a stand and accessories, and yet the Twelfth Doctor is more expensive and comes with no stand and only one accessory??

This Sherlock series (of figures) is new, and introduces people back to a 5″ range (if you get what I mean) and therefore the prices is cheaper to reel people in. Also, it may well be that this figure is actually more expensive… This is a rare example, but the opposite of what I explained above. We don’t know the price of John Watson yet, or Moriarty, or Mycroft. They could be cheaper. Or they might just be an allocated set price, meaning you get more for your money or less depending on what’s included.
I also need your advice in the Ask a question section here 🙂

Just goes to show how poor the ‘supposed’ Collector’s Series 12th Doctor is for £16.99 & postage/packing. A poorly designed figure, a tiny sonic & a dull box. Now compare that to the immaculate Sherlock figure, precise packaging & choice of accessories for £16 & postage/packing. Don’t know what the thinking behind this is, but there is certainly no comparison. Sherlock win’s hands down but the 12th Doctor is more expensive & rather shoddy.
