Looks like we might not be getting any picures today :((

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    July 10th, 2015 - 7:36pm

Did Capaldi ever wait his outfit without the waist coat in the program?

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:36pm

once i think in deep breath on the planet

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:40pm

On the desert planet at the beginning of the Caretaker

    • wholords2

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:40pm

No he wore it at the beginning of “the caretaker” in the scene where the doctor and clara are tied up in the desert

  • the astronaut of death

    July 10th, 2015 - 7:06pm

Booboo do you think it will have red lining?

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:08pm

      i dont see it anywhere

    • the astronaut of death

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:37pm

I’m getting rather worried . I had always hoped the 5 inch 12th Doctor figure would include red lining , a new and much better face sculpt. But at the moment non of this has happened. There is no waist coat , the face sculpt is practically the same as the 3.75 version (looks nothing like him) and no red lining! The one thing that I wanted most . It looks as though the only improvement made is that it is 5 inch.

If this is the final product….. I’m very dissopinted…..

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:40pm

the face sculpt in from a digital scan, and i think there was a problem with approval on the red lining for the 3.75″ which may have the same problem here

some thing are outside of Characters control

better to wait until you actually see them you cant tell anything form the pictures at the moment

    • the astronaut of death

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:42pm

Well a few fans did customs and they did fantastic job at doing red lining…

So if they can do it I don’t understand why character can’t……

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:44pm

Character cant do anything thats not approved

    • the astronaut of death

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:46pm

Why would red lining not get approved?

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:48pm

i just remember something said about when the figure was turned or something it didn’t look right.

you would have to ask Character

  • Stike

    July 10th, 2015 - 6:59pm

I expect The 12th doctor figure to be around £15 as, unlike the series 7 11th doctor, it only has one accessory- The Sonic

The Curator set Should be between £20 – £25 since once again it is a single figure with one accessory (his cane) and the Painting too

    • Anonymous

      July 11th, 2015 - 4:01am

Those prices would be ideal but it would depend on whether or ot this will be available in UK or if its going to be another usa exclusive

    • booboo

      July 11th, 2015 - 8:04am

these will be available in UK, they are not UT exclusives but will have their Logo in the front of the box in the USA as they have the distribution licence there

going by what was said some months back the UK ones will have the Character Logo on the box

  • ASTER

    July 10th, 2015 - 6:57pm

I have a feeling they don’t have red lining ….

  • AlexanderOP

    July 10th, 2015 - 6:04pm

Putting the amazing fact of all these doctor who figures aside for a moment. I do hope that because it’s in packaging and seemingly a finished product, that the Sherlock figure is available for purchase relatively soon.

  • Matthew

    July 10th, 2015 - 1:21pm

Look closely at the first picture of the Capaldi in white shirt figure. I see a reflection of a female figurine on the box, maybe from a leaflet or the back of the box in front of it. It looks a LOT like a Clara figure… anyone else see it?

    • TheOncomingStorm

      July 10th, 2015 - 1:48pm

Not a bad spot there, yes I see it now!

    • whotoys

      July 10th, 2015 - 3:12pm

yeah I see it but it looks like her series 7 costume

    • wholords2

      July 10th, 2015 - 3:34pm

It’s the same as the impossoble set, just with a dark blue dress and the legs painted black 🙁

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    July 10th, 2015 - 11:51am

Still waiting for Clara news! I hope she’s not disappointing, I’m trying to ignore some of the comments below, hope they are not true.

    • wholords2

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:46pm

      They are true
The guy who took the pic of the purple shirt doctor said that

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 10th, 2015 - 5:07pm

🙁 Bit of a let down

    • Anonymous

      July 10th, 2015 - 6:50pm

To be fair, it might be a prototype, plus were going by one persons account

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 6:54pm

Clara is a straight Variant repaint of Oswin

Bear in mind Oswin was an UT exclusive which these aren’t.

  • whotoys

    July 10th, 2015 - 8:35am

will these be £10 like the old 5 inch figures were or will they be more

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 8:50am

      probably more

    • TheOncomingStorm

      July 10th, 2015 - 9:14am

War doctor was £15 (to start with), so I would imagine it will be around that

  • Doctor what

    July 10th, 2015 - 8:09am

Guys don’t worry, they have always been 5.5 inch, al dewar has referred to them this way for ages.

    • Terry

      July 10th, 2015 - 8:18am

yes but the wider world has always referred to them a 5″ from day one so i’,m worried jo public might think its another new scale

      there is already confusion around

    • Cyberman Bill

      July 10th, 2015 - 3:29pm

Stop worrying…. I have seen them. They are he same size as the old figures. You can all relax.

  • Living Shadow

    July 10th, 2015 - 7:09am

I hope we’re getting display bases for these new 5″ figures….

    • doctor who crazy ross

      July 10th, 2015 - 10:54am

NO! The display bases for the 3.75″ were horrific

    • ahunter8056

      July 10th, 2015 - 11:20am

The only reason we initially had display bases for the 3.75″ scale figures is because the figures are near impossible to stand up on their own. The 5″ scale line does not have that problem, and so there is no reason to include display bases.

    • Merlin

      July 10th, 2015 - 1:17pm

You can use the 3.75 stands for the 5″ figures, they have the same size peg hole

    • Merlin

      July 10th, 2015 - 1:18pm

If the figures have peg holes, they don’t always.

    • Cyberman Bill

      July 10th, 2015 - 3:30pm

Why would we?? We never got bases for the bigger figures before. And NO, I have seen the figures and there are no bases.

  • shatner

    July 10th, 2015 - 3:56am

just saw a candy man figure with pink tardis i’m dying now

its a mock up its not real

    • the doctor

    • shatner

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:41pm

ohhhh nooooo. please god (al dewar) this will be a lovely thing

  • doctor who crazy ross

    July 10th, 2015 - 12:32am

I can imagine the 12th Doctors and Clara (and any other single figure releases) being around £15-£20, and the curator set being around £25-£30.

    • Merlin

      July 10th, 2015 - 8:40am

      Sounds about right.

    • The Werewolf

      July 10th, 2015 - 5:04pm

More likely to cost more than that. £25ish for the regular figs and £35ish for the Curator set.

    • doctor who crazy ross

      July 10th, 2015 - 5:14pm

Id expect the standard figures to be around £19.99 and the Curator set to be £29.99 if I’m honest.

    • booboo

      July 10th, 2015 - 6:42pm

these will be marketed by Character in the UK so i dont expect the price variations we have had, they are not UT exclusives now.

  • Anonymous

    July 10th, 2015 - 12:06am

Wish we had good shots of all the 5 inch doctor who and sherlock figures being released. And if underground can make a curator set, which looks great by the way, where’s mcgann’s night of the doctor set?

    • DS

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:37am

It is interesting that it has taken a while since the Day of the Doctor to see the Curator.

There is therefore hope for the Night of the Doctor figure.
It has been suggested that we might see one.
There are sculpts for the 3.75 and figurine collection (the latter approved by Paul McGann).
Myself a big Eighth Doctor fan would love to see this (TV Movie Seventh Doctor and Master)

We don’t need a huge range but appreciate the occasional 5 inch releases – War Doctor, Totd set and now the curator.
But for today, like other fans and collectors I am ecstatic about the Capaldi figures to add to our collections 🙂

  • Antonio

    July 10th, 2015 - 12:04am

omg is that tom baker figure and gallerfray picture 😀

    • TheOncomingStorm

      July 10th, 2015 - 1:00pm

      Yes

  • CG

    July 10th, 2015 - 12:02am

Amazing.!! An amazing curator collectors set, a few awesome twelfth doctors, a Clara and a Tardis that is top quality. Awesome!!!

  • Dalekparadigm2

    July 9th, 2015 - 11:50pm

Mixed Feelings here. Relieved for the 12th doctor figure. The boxes however say 5.5 inch not 5 inch. These are half an inch bigger than normal. They’re still ridiculing us

    • Dalekparadigm2

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:53pm

Unless they were all 5.5 inch and I am mistaken…

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:02am

I believe that 5 inch had always been more of a generalising term, as some figures are taller or shorter than 5 inch depending on how tall the character was. In some cases I had heard them be called 6 inch figures… so, I would say 5.5 inch is again just a general term.

    • Anonymous

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:23am

The bronze Daleks were 5 inches, but they are smaller than most characters (because they were designed to match Billie Piper’s eyeline).

    • Jamie

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:36am

      Technically it was always 5.5

  • Dant97

    July 9th, 2015 - 11:33pm

I find this whole situation odd. Surely the people at UT are intelligent enough to realise that pictures were going to leak out no matter what and that it would be in their best interest to give us images of what we will actually be getting to minimise fan disappointment and misconception. Or if they really didn’t want images getting out surely it’s not a good idea to display them at a public event. Either way I’m happy about the figures I just think they could have been revealed in a better way.

    • DS

      July 10th, 2015 - 12:42am

I think others share your concerns and your joy.
It doesn’t make a lot of sense and no one is undermining any other public introductions they might want to deploy.

As you say though, this is great news and much joy to be shared 🙂

  • Anonymous

    July 9th, 2015 - 11:01pm

You can see a reflection of the Clara figure in the white shirt 12th doctor pic. Fairly certain she is wearing the blue dress but i cant make out anything else.

    • I love Karen Gillian

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:04pm

Good spotting. Big disappointed about the Clara now 🙁

    • Slitheen97

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:08pm

Think I can see a Jacket on her too, Hide varient prehaps?

    • Bigwhofan

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:08pm

That’s a 7B Clara right? Probably based off the 3.75 counterpart

    • Slitheen97

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:12pm

Yeah 🙂 At least thats what I think it is

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:18pm

Sadly it’s just a repaint of the impossible set figure, from the colour scheme (purple dress, black tights) it seems to be based of listen, but that’s going on colour scheme alone

    • Slitheen97

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:44pm

I’m Pretty sure I can see the Jacket, Her arms are Darker and there seems to be something Curving round the blue on her dress

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 10th, 2015 - 7:42am

This is actually confirmed by the same person who posted the robots of sherwood 12 figure

    • Slitheen97

      July 10th, 2015 - 11:17am

Darn :L I’ve got an Jacket from an Old Clara Custom I never finished So looks like I’ll have to stick that on!

  • Anonymous

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:59pm

    Why are photos allowed now?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 11:23pm

not sure they are but impossible to stop they are everywhere

  • MaLiWho

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:35pm

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:42pm

      Agreed 🙂

  • T4RD1S

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:35pm

I’m screaming so much!!!! Curator, Capaldi, (apparently) Clara, TARDIS, new sets in 5 inch and time squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:42pm

Some of the best news this year 🙂

  • Doctor 909

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:16pm

Apparently, according to someone on the DW Toys.net Forum, the Clara is really disappointing . Apparently it is the exact same as Oswin, just with a purple/blue dress with black leggings, what the hell are u doing CO and UT! At least give us something that has actually been on the screen!!!!

    • When The Doctor Was Me

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:21pm

Her figure may not yet have been completed. I reckon if they go for a dress look it will be the outfit worn in The Name Of The Doctor.

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:22pm

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind if they used the same figure but rescuplted the body and feet and made a TOTD Clara like TomFans one forum but not something that’s never been seen and the closest thing it compares to is her listen costume, which looks nothing like the figure

    • When The Doctor Was Me

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:23pm

But I would have preferred for a Time Of The Doctor or Day Of The Doctor outfit.

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:24pm

If it wasn’t finished it would either be a mock up or look even slightly like its supposed to be but needing more detail, not a repaint of an existing figure

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:28pm

oh no! I really want a decent Clara. Every Doctor and companion deserves a good 5 inch I think.

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:30pm

Doctor 909 is there a link?

    • Doctor 909

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:31pm

No, there wasn’t but the guy posted the Tobots of Sherwood Doctor figure though, so was there

    • Doctor 909

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:36pm

No, there wasn’t but the guy posted the Robot of Sherwood Doctor figure though, so was there

  • wholords2

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:12pm

    There’s another pic on DWT.net
The 12th doctor head looks really good

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:17pm

So the same person who posted the purple shirt pic says that the Clara figure is the same sculpt as Oswin but the dress is purple, there’s no belt and she has black leggings, make of that what you will

  • Dant97

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:09pm

Found a picture of the purple shirted 12th doctor and look like the sonic is a closed sculpt

  • DoctorSong2013

    July 9th, 2015 - 10:01pm

    What happened to the pictures?
Are they still banned or whatever?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:02pm

well i have no idea what’s what here its all to cloak and dagger for my liking got to be honest and all a bit silly, i don’t like things happening this way.

cant see the point of putting things out on public event then telling the rest of the world they cant see them

but i cant stop people linking to them its all in the comments

    • James

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:08pm

The original poster of the pictures was made to take them down by, I dunno, the Comic-con police or someone…

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:16pm

we are now in one of those situation where people have been asked not to take photos but they are all over the internet

    • DoctorRiverTARDIS

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:09pm

Is that a closed sonic?!?!?!?!?! 😀

    • the paternoster gang

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:10pm

Yeah, that purple version looks really good. I’m going to get either this version or the polka dot version. I really love the curator figure too and I hope we get some insight into Claras outfit her figure has, ideally her deep breath one.

  • The12thDoctor!

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:54pm

So it seems a figure shipped like an ice warrior was spotted as well on the top right of one of the pictures UT posted maybe CO could be scanning some of the 3.75″ monsters to give us in 5 inch?

  • the paternoster gang

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:53pm

Love the curator set but I hope it won’t be too expensive. Does the curator set come with an actual diorama or is it just the painting?
