I have 1 question. Why does it say that it’s 5.5 inch because I thought that the original figures were only 5 inch but correct me if im wrong. Also, it does say the collectors series and as the packaging is different, do you think this is part of the black series?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:48pm

it was never going to be called the black series, that was by way of comparison to the star wars range

it was always 5.5 inch i think, the 5″ coming from the hight of the Dalek

bit confusing though as its been referred to as 5″

    • Nicholas

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:49pm

The 5″ line were actually 5.5″
      The daleks were 5″

    • Rebel Whovian

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:52pm

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I really appreciate it.

  • the astronaut of death

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:43pm

So I guess this is the collectors series then….

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:45pm

looks like it now we can see the boxes

still puzzled by the UT logo

i thought Character were doing them

unless we have two separate boxes for UK and USA

  • the astronaut of death

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:42pm

The curator set looks fantastic !

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:54pm

      This is a pleasant surprise

  • the astronaut of death

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:36pm

I hope we get red lining….

  • the astronaut of death

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:36pm

Booboo do you think that 12th Doctor is the finished product???? Because that face sculpt looks just like the 3.75 version….

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:41pm

as its a digital scan that doesn’t surprise me at all

    • the astronaut of death

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:42pm

      Oh no…. 🙁

    • Nicholas

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:51pm

Don’t worry, the TOTD set used the 3.75″ smiling head scan and look how much better that turned out 🙂

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:57pm

I did think he would have his waistcoat but still great news

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:58pm

well there are 4 of them so you can choose

    • DS

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:10pm

excellent! I have to say I am impressed by the updated packaging.
I was curious given the new packaging for the recent sonic and figure wave

  • the astronaut of death

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:31pm

I’m very disappointed if that is the real thing…. No waist coat and the face sculpt looks just like the 3.75 version.

    • wholords2

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:34pm

Don’t forget that the TOTD head is the same as the 3.75″ regenerated 12th doc
Yet the 5″ one looked a lot better, plus also it will have a lot more detail than the 3.75″ one!

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:29pm

COME ON CHARACTER, TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The-11thdoctor

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:23pm

Can not wait to get the 12th doctor. I hope the caretaker one will be in 5 inch as that is my favorite episode from series 8.

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:15pm

ok the photos are spreading around facebook and twitter

Other sites seem to be spreading them around as well

i cant see any no photos signs

      Curator looks fantastic

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:18pm

Thanks Nicholas! I’d get that 12 definitely. Probably be at least 15 quid though.
Now all we need is a picture of Clara! They’ve really hidden her!

    • Doctor 909

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:24pm

Can I see a Clara reflected in the 12th Doctor picture?! It looks like the Impossible set one, painted blue with a jacket, hope it isn’t that! I suppose they could call it a Listen variant.

    • DoctorRiverTARDIS

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:25pm

Brilliant spot, doctor 909, I don’t know how I missed that

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:30pm

I think that’s just the impossible set… I can’t see a jacket, and it looks red to me, with a hint of blue due to the packaging of 12.

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:52pm

I just spotted Clara! No idea where she’s from… I hope her figure is good!

    • The12thDoctor!

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:56pm

I wouldn’t mind if Clara was just a repaint and a tiny part remoulded form the Impossible set at least we get another figure of her that we can say is Clara Oswald and not Oswin.

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:03pm

I think Clara is just the impossible one but blue… they may give her a jacket and go for Hide? I’d really like a Series 8 one though. As for 12, shame he doesn’t have a waist coat, and his head sculpt isn’t great… oh well, still pleased!

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 10:04pm

      i think you are right

  • The Raggedy Adipose

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:09pm

I hope the Curator set don’t inkludert a series 7b doctor. If it does i think the price will be between 40-50£

  • Sam Richard Bentley

    July 9th, 2015 - 9:07pm

Not sure if I should post this or not, but… https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CJf3nX6WIAAnJjA.jpg

  • Doctor 909

    July 9th, 2015 - 8:42pm

What does everyone think the Clara will be, I’m surprised someone hasn’t even said the costume yet!? I reckon it will be either: Time of the Doctor/Deep Breath or Day of the Doctor. I would love a Flatline, but I highly doubt it!

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:45pm

I also think TOTD/Deep Breath especially seeing as the 12th doctors look like upscaled 3.75″ so it could be the same for Clara but I would definitely love a Clara from Flatline

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:46pm

I’d say Time of the Doctor/Deep Breath makes the most sense, that’s the design that’s being used currently. And they have the sculpt for it in 3.75inch

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:56pm

Yes that is the version that’s used in all merchandise eg..

      Posters
      Calendars
      3.75″ figure
      Time squad
      Book covers

And many other things, it is also, arguably the most recognisable Clara costume

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      July 9th, 2015 - 9:19pm

I would love a Flatline one, as I see that as typical clothes Clara would wear everyday. I hope it is not DB, so it’s different to the 3.75, and I don’t know why it would be the same one…

      We’ve seen these already,
I thought they were gonna be the new 12th doctor figure pics 🙁

  • DoctorWhoFan1963

    July 9th, 2015 - 8:17pm

Hi there, does anybody know if the 5” 12th Doctor, Clara and Curator figures will be available to buy in the UK? I would love to get them all but live in the UK so I was unable to go to SDCC.

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:19pm

they are not on sale at SDCC just on show and they are bound to end up here to be honest

  • TimLord

    July 9th, 2015 - 7:56pm

will probably get the three sets….why was there not a clara doctor figure pack picture 🙁

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:56pm

there isn’t supposed to be pictures of any of it

    • the astronaut of death

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:59pm

Do you think we will get pics today booboo?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:02pm

      i just don’t know

  • the real doctor

    July 9th, 2015 - 6:36pm

why is the time of the dr set so cheap there but anywhere else its double the price

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 6:47pm

for some reason it seems the itmes that are UK toys r us exclusives are much more expensive the the USA may have something to do with import/export duties

  • the real doctor

    July 9th, 2015 - 6:34pm

does 12s figure not have a cardigan. it looks like it

  • The Living Shadow

    July 9th, 2015 - 6:06pm

Why are there no close up pics of the 12th Doctor and Sherly!

    • Wholords2

      July 9th, 2015 - 6:08pm

Because UT wouldn’t allow it yesterday

    • doctor who crazy ross

      July 9th, 2015 - 6:18pm

It took me far too long to realise you were talking about Sherlock

    • The Werewolf

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:08pm

When you said “Shirly”, I thought of ‘Airplane’

(Surely you can’t be serious – I am serious and don’t call me Shirley.)

  • Charlie

    July 9th, 2015 - 5:39pm

does the damaged angel look different to you?

    • Charlie

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:41pm

and there are four different 12’s like whona said you can see from the other pictures in the link

  • ~the TARDIS~ 12600

    July 9th, 2015 - 5:28pm

Are these just for comic con? Or will they be released everywhere? 😀

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:33pm

      everywhere

as far as i know the new figures are not on sale there anyway

    • ~the TARDIS~ 12600

      July 9th, 2015 - 8:07pm

      Thank you! I can’t wait for these to come out 😀 😀 😀 😀

  • TARDISGuy

    July 9th, 2015 - 5:26pm

I’ve never understood why (and again, I only bring this up because of the re-releases) the 10th Doctor figures never have bicep or wrist articulation. Does anybody know?

    • Jamie

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:02pm

Because the 10th Dr figure was developed before CO used Bicep or wrist articulation.

    • I am the doctor

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:21pm

Actually lots of series 1 figures have bisep wrist removable heads

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:31pm

Yes bu wasn’t he made before those ones,I’m sure in 2005 they released the doctor/rose dalek packs then in 2006 one of the first figures to be released was 10, with then the series 1/2 figure waves following

  • Number 6

    July 9th, 2015 - 5:12pm

Yes! A three-pack of the Fourth Doctor, is likely to release. Looking forward to buy it someday.

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:23pm

That pack is gonna sell like hotcakes considering the fourth doctor is very good for customs and a lot of people missed out on the city of death set

  • the paternoster gang

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:48pm

If you click on the link and go on the first picture, you can see the curator, twelfth doctor and sherlock. They all look reaaly good. The twelfth doctor packqging makes me wonder if this is the long rumoured “black series” we’ve been talking about.

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:52pm

I have to admit i do not know if there is any association between these and the collector series

All are marked with the UT logo but i was under the impression the collectors series was a Character initiative

    • the paternoster gang

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:56pm

That would make sense actually, I remember Al Dewar saying they had a set announce date for the collector series so these probably wouldn’t be them. Nonetheless, really looking foward to these figures. I have a feeling aswell that there will be some sort of diorama with the curator as his painting would be hard to fit inside a standard packaging.

  • Doctor Stu

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:47pm

I can’t see the curator set is it in the pictures

    • Explosive Cookie

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:48pm

Go on the link at the top of the page and then onto the first picture, look at the top left.

    • Doctor Stu

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:41pm

Oh I see it now thank you

  • MrHalloWho

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:45pm

In the bottom picture, just above the 4th Doctor sets, there’s a 12th Doctor figure picture.

    • MrHalloWho

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:47pm

…and at the right of the middle picture.

  • akaloverboyz

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:43pm

    are time squad key-chains now?

    • MrHalloWho

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:46pm

No, the ones show in boxes are not keychains.

  • Still Not Ginger

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:33pm

    Where is the Clara figure?
Booboo can you confirm the 12th Doctor and Clara are 5 inch?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:33pm

      yes 100%

no photos were allowed what we know has been picked up on the edges of some pictures and word of mouth

    • Anonymous

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:41pm

Do we know which story Clara is from?

    • Still Not Ginger

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:42pm

Have you got the pictures of the Clara figure of the edge of other pictures?

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:47pm

      no

  • Exterminator

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:15pm

BooBoo, you and Luke should get all expenses paid access all areas passes to SDCC every year. This site makes so much money for all the merchandise manufacturers and suppliers.

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:16pm

i dont think anyone would pay for us to go SDCC from the UK

    • Exterminator

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:22pm

Well, you both do a great job. I’ll mention it on the next Doctor Who survey.

  • The Doctor

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:11pm

is the master one from keeper of traken rather then deadly assasin like the previous version?

    • wholords2

      July 9th, 2015 - 4:14pm

      It’s the deadly assassin version

    • The Werewolf

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:09pm

The one in the box looks more like the Keeper of Traken one to me.

    • wholords2

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:11pm

      There both the same
And if you look at the close up pictures in the link above it’s definatly the deadly assassin version just without the sash

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:14pm

It’s definitely deadly assassin, the traken one has mich darker skin

    • DoctorSong2013

      July 9th, 2015 - 7:32pm

      *much

  • TARDISGuy

    July 9th, 2015 - 4:07pm

Seeing the Sarah Jane figure rereleased is making me wonder why, if they’ve had Elisabeth Sladen’s likeness for so long, they’ve not made any classic Sarah figures. I mean, if they made Sarah Jane from Pyramids of Mars (since they love making figures from that story), the could have used the dress mould for a Victoria figure and even an Ace from Ghost Light figure.
Pointless gripes aside, I’m just happy that the 5″ line isn’t completely dead as some said it might be.

    • timelord25

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:00pm

I want more sarah jane the dream is not dead buddy we can do it together all we need it to pester under ground toy and CHARTER OPTION TILL IT DONE who with me

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:02pm

I Think, and i might need to be corrected that Elizabeth Sladen wasn’t to keen on some figures so getting approval from her family might be an issue

    • TARDISGuy

      July 9th, 2015 - 5:17pm

If that was the case, it explains it. I just always thought it odd that the first classic companion we got was Peri when they had already made like five different Sarah Janes
