Robert Harrop Special Weapons Dalek First Look

A little update of what will be next in line for the Doctor Who Collection. Pictured here is the first glimpse of the sculpt for our Special Weapons Dalek from 1988’s ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’, staring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.
It has gone into mould making and casting now, so should hopefully be released early in the new year.

December 19th, 2017 - 12:58pmIt should say 1988’s Rememberance of the daleks and 2015’s The magicians apprentice/The witches Familiar considering the special weapons dalek made a fully functioning appearance in season 9.

December 19th, 2017 - 3:42pmYes, but each figurine is taken only from one story so they had to pick one, and with Remembrance being the proper story its from (and not a homage/cameo) it makes sense to choose Remembrance.
Also, there is the small detail that Harrops is very much classic-focused, and they would definitely annoy almost all of their collectors if they put it as the 2015 story.

December 16th, 2017 - 2:37pmThe first Dalek was £65 but the edition number was much larger and the prices have risen in recent times anyway. Davros was £90 so I’d expect this to fall around the same price point. I would hope that it’ll have a larger edition number, considering the more niche items are selling out within two weeks I can’t see any Dalek item lasting long at all, it would seem silly to hold back when they could be sitting on many more sales.
