Remembrance of the Daleks Set – Pictures

Remembrance of the Daleks 1988 Set

Due February 2012 priced £29.99

The TARDIS arrives in London in November 1963, where the Seventh Doctor and Ace discover that two rival factions of Daleks – one loyal to the Dalek Emperor and one to the Dalek Supreme – are seeking the Hand of Omega, a powerful Time Lord device that the first Doctor hid there during an earlier sojourn on Earth.

The Daleks are focusing their search around Coal Hill School – the school that the Doctor’s grand-daughter Susan attended – while a human military unit led by Group Captain Gilmore is attempting to resist their incursions.

The Imperial Daleks eventually capture the device.

The Dalek Emperor is revealed to be Davros, now with only the last vestiges of his humanoid form remaining. The Doctor begs him not to use the Hand but is ignored.

However, this is just the final ruse in a complex trap laid by the Doctor. The Hand of Omega utterly destroys the Dalek home planet, Skaro, and then returns to destroy their forces orbiting Earth.

Contents:1 x Dalek Emperor Davros action figure.1 x Destroyed Imperial Dalek action figure.

My sister recently ordered this for me on Amazon.

It cost’s £46.32 + £7.65 for UK delivery, but since I’m not expecting the price on Amazon to end up around £30 pounds on Amazon anytime soon, I don’t mind, and seeing as I can never get hold of it anywhere in any shop’s, Amazon really is my only option.

As I write this comment it still has not arrived, thou probably will be here by Friday, thou I look forward to it’s arrival and putting it on the self with my other classic and new series Daleks and 2008 Davros figure !!!! 😀

Unbelievably, the set arrived TODAY !!, so it didn’t arrive tomorrow which is what I was expecting, cos it said on Amazon it should arrive by Friday [or something about Friday], so getting it a day early is fantastic !!!!!!!!.

Ive certainly been admiring my new set today, and proud to own it.

If you haven’t got one but have been trying to get your hands on it, I recommend Amazon. It will cost you £46.32 + £7.65 for UK delivery which is more then the original price of “29.99, but it’s well worth it 😉

30 smackers for an inaccurate Davros (the face) and a destroyed Dalek which I don’t think you can even remove the mutant creature inside.

I’d get the Dalek seperate if I could.

Hi boo boo & Everyone, This is a bit off the subject but I’m going for an operation soon and I was promised that I could be able to get an action figure set. I would like to know which Dalek Set would be best to get or which classic set would be better. Thanks 🙂

If you havint already got the 11th Doctors set, that I would recommend to you, it’s awesome, and you more figures in that set then any other since the other sets like this one only have like 2 to 3 figures in each [ except the set of 4 different Daleks from the other Remembrance set ].

Hope your operation goes well 🙂

    • stewie

      April 27th, 2012 - 8:02am

i had an operation not that long ago, but if i was in your situation, i would recomend either the ressurection set, the revelation set, or the remembrance set, i have not got them, i am trying to though. hope your operation goes well by the way. good luck

I went to Forbidden Planet in London today with my sister a couple of mates, but they didint have any. I could have got the other Remembrance of the Daleks set [ the one of the four different Daleks ], but I was abit short of money so couldint buy it.

I’m saving my money up incase I see both sets at the next 3 day London Expo event next month [ Friday 25th to Sunday 27 ]cos when I first went to the Expo, some people from Foridden Planet was there, so I might get lucky next month.

on forbidden planet’s website it says this product is discontinued, its really hard to find on online shopping sites as well, so it’s probably better if you get the 4 pack.

You won’t find me complaining. A Davros that looks like the Davros from the story, but doesn’t have the face ?

If you think I’m dishing out £30 for that, you can dream on. Attack of the Cybermen set is better, I’m getting the Invasion of Time set and Adrozahni set. 😀

    • Renegade Dalek

      April 1st, 2012 - 7:40pm

McGann is the Doctor: Yeah, but I really need this set for my animation film. Still I do need a Sontaran or a Peri figure, what other sets do you recommend? 😆

    • doctorwhofan27

      April 2nd, 2012 - 12:19am

I’m not McGann is the Doctor, but I reccomend either the caves of androzani set or the attack of the cyberman set. If you want a Peri for an adventure during her time with the 5th doctor, then I say androzani. If for during her time with the 6th doctor, I reccomend the attack of the cyberman set, unless you really like Sil from Vengeance on Varos, in which case get that serials set. Sorry for length.

    • Renegade Dalek

      April 2nd, 2012 - 8:39am

doctorwhofan27: Thanks for the recommendations, I’m not the biggest fan of Sil to be honest, I haven’t yet got a 6th doctor, but I do have the 5th. I could get the attack set for more cybermen, but maybe the caves of androzani set or attack set.

But cheers for the help! 🙂

P.S this set finally arrived, very pleased with it and the box is kinda small compared to the Enemies of the 3rd Doctor set. 😆

      March 14th, 2012 - 1:56pm

There have been several (classic-series)releases, usually it’s one a month but they were all announced at the same time so it was early.

That’w why there won’t be any more 4 a while.

As for Series 6 figures, there will be a figure it is based on his costume in the Doctor’s Wife.

I feel the same way about this, I wish there would be more Series 6 figures and they should really have brought out more. I had no idea they were going to stop where they did. 🙁

    • Anonymous

      April 13th, 2012 - 1:06pm

I’m sick of all this waiting for Rory, CO are very clever though. They’re slowly putting up the prices. In 2006- the first wave of CO figures- they were £6.99. 2007- £7.99. 2008- £8.99. 2009,2010,2011- £9.99 or £8.99.
Anyway my thoughts on next wave:
      3a:
      Rory (Night Terrors)
      Amy (Night Terrors)
      Doctor (Let’s Kill Hitler)
      River (The Impossible Astronaut)
      Peg Doll (Green Dress)
Handbot (with switchable gun and normal heads)
      Siren (Blue)
Cyber Collection from AGMGTW (With Cyberlord and 3 normal Cybermen)

I must be the only one who isn’t keen on this set. The Davros from that story had a different face and it was SO different from this toy, the toy used the old one ! Not worth it, IMO.

Not to worry, I have no shortage of classic series sets to obtain. The Resurrection of the Daleks, Eleven Doctors, Caves of Adrozahni, Invasion of time sets. in that order. ❗

      February 12th, 2012 - 8:50pm

My advice is to get the one with your more preferred doctor in it.

    • McGann is the Doctor

      February 13th, 2012 - 10:42am

My advice is simple, donot bother getting this innaccurate set, the Dalek mutant is not removable, the Davros innacurate, and overall just not worth it. 🙁

If you have the Seventh Doctor already, then you need not be told to get the 7th Doctor Tardis set, which is AMAZING. 😀

The Revelation of the Daleks set is actually very good, the Davros in that set is the best figure of him, with two swappable hands, and two VERY accurate Daleks.

You would also like the Keeper of Traken set, which is a fun set but quite dear. ❗

    • The Emperor

      February 13th, 2012 - 12:51pm

McGann is the Doctor, what is so innacurate about this lovely set? Apart from the Davros head, the yellow wire is meant to be red. And why would you want the Dalek mutant be removable?

    • The Emperor

      February 13th, 2012 - 12:54pm

My wallet says this or Invasion Of Time i think.
Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
(by the way, i already have the Revelation set ) 😀

These two figure cardboard box compact sets are probably the nicest “packages” of merchandise we have had in the last five years. This set has to rank in the top 25 pieces of Doctor Who merchandise 1964-2012. It is stunning.
