i think i will just wait until entertainer has it in store so i can look at it before I buy, as argos stock is hit or miss by the sound of it.

First Argos I went to had 2 10th Doctors, second Argos I went to had 1 10th Doctor! So I got the 10th Dr but nothing else yet!

I hope both Capaldi’s become available at some point, since they’re great!
They’re obviously unarticulated prototypes, judging by the pics
I’m glad Capaldi’s hair is greyer, and that at least one variant has his shorter hair (as well as his stern face)
I prefer the open Crombie variant’s head but the buttoned Crombie variants body – head swap me thinks!

I just got the Genesis Dalek from my local Argos. It was the only one they had. On the back it doesn’t show the 11th Dr at all and the 12th Dr is shown in series 8 costume. The play sets are a Hide and Angels take Manhattan.

How ridiculous. I think I’ll just get these from a proper shop.

    • the astroanut of death

      July 26th, 2014 - 11:24am

you cant from Argos but to actually choose your figure you need to actually go into the shop and ask to view the figures

but if you wanted you could wait until they go on to the bbc shop and then you can choose what to buy

forbidden planet are already doing that so you can choose what to buy but they are pre order not order

It seems such a faff for both customers and their staff. I wonder why they do it that way.

Anyway, thanks – I’m waiting for the BBC Shop to get them in as I resent paying FP’s ridiculous postage costs.

      July 26th, 2014 - 11:38am

Actually all you have to do is take the code to the till and request a viewing, they then bring out all figures for selection, if you want to buy any the assistant will take it over to a till for you to purchase.

I prefer the jacket on the open jacket figure but the head on the closed jacket figure. Swapsies, I guess. Glad they went with the cardie look as it’s my favourite variant of the costume.

Now scale that up to 5″, cut in some extra articulation, make it easily available at retail and you’ll make a lot of people very happy, CO.
