New 3.75″ Figure Variants Appear in the USA
Two new 3.75″ Figure Variants have appeared on Ebay UK although sold from the USA. A Gold Classic Dalek (Day of the Daleks) and the 11th Doctor with a repainted green coat.
Although known about these figures have had no official UK consumer announcement so its unclear if or when the UK will get them.

September 27th, 2014 - 8:18amI have both these figures and I have to say I really like them. I understand the complaints but as a “Whovian” collector I had to get them. They are painted really well. The photos don’t do them justice. Order them and I really think you’ll be satisfied.

September 27th, 2014 - 4:49amYou know, it’s sad, because it seems like they could very easily have just transferred the arms and longer coat of the Wave 1 Eleventh Doctor to the Wave 2 tweed Eleventh Doctor. I don’t see many people buying the so-called “Series 6” Eleventh Doctor. The Dalek still looks brilliant.

September 26th, 2014 - 10:28pmthe so called series 6 figure just looks like someone’s whipped it out of the packaging and painted it…badly. It’s the same with the Dalek, Genesis one painted gold…badly. Overall, very upset…badly.

September 26th, 2014 - 9:47pmReally annoying trying to get the whole wave when more keep popping up months apart for specific shops/sites (Hamley’s, ebay) before leaking out into more common shops like Argos Personally I think this wave has been a mess (not in terms of the actual figures).

September 26th, 2014 - 9:21pmI really think this ‘Season 6’ Doctor is a massive micky take. Honestly – it’s inaccurate, massively outdated, yet people will buy it because it’s a ‘collectible’. I honestly think CO have stopped caring about the figures now, and just make what they can to get money no matter the inaccuracy.

this range is not remotely aimed at the “collector market”

September 26th, 2014 - 9:29pmYes, but it is the collectors who still buy it! I just think that those line, or even just this particular figure, is almost insulting. Honestly. That’s how it feels. And I am sure there are plenty of kids picking up this figure and going ‘hang on… never saw him in this’ and it just seems… irrelevant? I think that’s the word I’m looking for. An irrelevant variant.

September 26th, 2014 - 9:57pmthe “kids” or the vast majority of casual buyers knew he wore a green coat and that’s all, the wont care about anything else and they are not the type of buyers who would visit this site or another forum for that matter.
the “core” collectors are very very small in terms of overall sales, they were with the 5″ line as well

Interestingly, the gold dalek and green coat 11th Dr are not pictured on the back.
Pictured are the genesis dalek, Amy pond, 12th with red lining (which we now know is wrong), 10th Dr and the asylum dalek.

September 19th, 2014 - 12:07amBit of a shame about the mismatched coat and waist coat on the Eleventh Doctor, he never (on TV atleast) wore a waist coat with the green coat, I made a custom figure just using the tweed variant and swapping the coat, surely CO could have done the same? It’s not like it would have meant new moulds either!

Also I think the 12th Doctor is to be limited, WHONA posted the contents of a case they will receive.

September 19th, 2014 - 8:50amThe mesh is gold with back behind it. The black dominates in most scenes and it looks black.
At this scale it is perfectly logical for it to be painted black.
You could mod it and dry brush the mesh gold. Good luck with that.
