Figurine Collection Magazine Mega Genesis Dalek Special Figurine #6
The Daleks were created by leading Kaled scientist Davros to end the war between the Kaleds and the Thals and take power, but he was seemingly killed by his own creation. The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) is sent to Skaro to alter the development of the Daleks or, if he can’t, to destroy them. If the Doctor can’t give the Daleks a conscience, will he rid the universe of their terror?
On Skaro, two races were fighting a generations-long war – the warrior race the Thals and a race of philosophers and teachers called the Kaleds. In an effort to end the war and house mutated Kaleds, their leading scientist and megalomaniac Davros believes that through his creations, the “Mark III travel machines” or “Daleks”, he can become the supreme being and ruler of the Universe. He uses them to arrange the extinction of his own people and the Thals, but the Daleks ultimately turn on Davros, killing his supporters and shooting him.
The figurine shows the Daleks as they appear in the 1975 adventure Genesis of the Daleks, recreated in die-cast metal as official hand-painted models. The model is accompanied by an in-depth profile magazine, including concept art and interviews about the evolution of the Doctor Who villains.

September 30th, 2021 - 2:10pmGot to admit love to see megas of the classic Tenth Planet Cyberman, the classic Varga Ice Warrior and Linx. I never liked the miniature Eaglemoss linx at all.

September 30th, 2021 - 3:34pmGahh! Too late! Showing sold out at Eaglemoss.

September 30th, 2021 - 4:44pmI’d like to see more Megas, but of the less popular characters such as the Terileptil, Foamasi, Kraal, Terileptil Android, Skovox Blitzer, Minotaur, Hand bot, Emoji bot etc.
Has their figurines, they’ll be very similar to the Harrops figures but a good couple of inches taller, they would be very cool.
I don’t suppose they’ll be big sellers though so I don’t suppose they’ll ever be made.

September 30th, 2021 - 5:15pmI’m a simple guy, just make a female Ganger or the Flood in any shape or form and I’ll be very happy.
Gareth Pugh
September 30th, 2021 - 8:33pmPopplewick, a photo is circulating that shows the Tom Baker Mega in a glass case… alongside a Mondas Cyberman Mega in the same scale. If that’s official (and it certainly looked genuine) I guess we’ll see that in 2022. Slight caveat – it was the Twelfth Doctor era version rather than exactly how they appeared in the Tenth Planet, but it looked great all-the-same).
Coleman
September 30th, 2021 - 10:00pmI saw that a few weeks ago Gareth. I wondered were that 13 inch Cyberman had come from!
Coleman
September 30th, 2021 - 10:08pmI just thought someone had made a custom Cyberman and had it on show with the Eaglemoss 4th Doctor.
But now I come to think about it, how the hell have they got hold of a 4th Doctor in the 1st place, it hasn’t been released yet?
So it must be legit I suppose.

September 30th, 2021 - 10:14pmI,m late to the party coleman but decided to save for clara big chief and just preordered The Master. If i can,t have the big bad troll doll in the house i,ll take the next size down with old Roger. I,m treating myself to something.

October 1st, 2021 - 10:06amGlad your collecting a few Big Chief ergon, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Their are just about the best Dr Who merchandise out their at the moment. As you’ve probably guest Clara is my favourite piece. I didn’t have any Big Chief figures until she came out. (True story) When I saw her in hand I thought Wow I’ve got to start collecting these.
You’ve just started collecting at a good time I should be recieving Jodie and Jon today unless theirs any more delays. I’ll post a few photos soon to let you have a look at them.

October 1st, 2021 - 10:14amErgon, do you know about the PayPal installment option for the Big Chief figures. You pay roughly £40 pound per month for sixth months with no added interest, then their payed for. It makes the figures alot easier to pay for. Since their usually one and a half to two years before they arrive their payed off along time before their in stock.
the ergon
October 1st, 2021 - 12:11pmNo i wasnt aware of that coleman, but it makes more sense to pay in installments if the preorder is so far in advance. The Clara figure is going for a hefty packet now and sold out just about everywhere as you already know. I,ll have to order overseas if i want this in brand new condition now. I think i,d quite like The Amy and rose figures as well as a few old doctors. The Colin baker one is excellent too and looks like something fresh out of Madame Tussauds.

September 30th, 2021 - 10:24amThe only megas i,d like to buy are like the K-1 Robot holding Sarah, A decaying trenzalore TARDIS or a monoid statue.

September 30th, 2021 - 11:40amHello Ergon, i know everyone appreciates different things.
I only mentioned this yesterday to a fellow fan on F******k that their was only a couple of Monster designs from all of Dr Who that i didnt like and the Monoid was one of them along with the Morbius Monster.
Great offer by the way, would definitely be tempted if I hadn’t spent this month’s allotment already.
Coleman
September 30th, 2021 - 11:51amOh, by the way he was the complete opposite to me and mentioned the Monoid and Morbius Monster were some of his most favourite designs. (Strange, isn’t it?)

September 30th, 2021 - 12:33pmA hard offer to resist but Ive already got one which i thought was a bargain at 75 quid awhile back. This model is suprisingly good despite a rather obvious ‘flaw’. Unfortunately eaglemoss offered some rather nice trek ships at a good price too – one of them is a ship Ive had my eye on a while and at 50% off I wasn’t waiting this time.

February 16th, 2021 - 11:20pmHow well does this figure scale with the Big Chief 1/6 scale figures? I’m looking to get this when my Big Chief Pertwee arives but I’m gonna hold off if the sizes don’t match up.

August 24th, 2021 - 12:35pmJudging by the size of the boxes in forbidden plant no were near. Big chief figures are much bigger.
Coleman
August 24th, 2021 - 12:40pmTheir very near 1:6 scale. I’ve placed a Big Chief Doctor at the side of a Eaglemoss Mega Dalek and they don’t look too out of place. (Just Slightly smaller than 1:6 I would say).

September 15th, 2020 - 3:15pmWhat is exactly the crack with this dalek…no slat on front which was assured would be there as photo on front of magazine was of the actual figurine. Then no mesh on the dalek.to top it off the dalek came broken and missing appendages.its a nice figure but for £109 should be right. As luck would have it I have spare appendages off a broken bronze dalek but that should not be the point.quality control is horrendous. I called customer service and was told to send it back and when they get it back will send another as long as they have them in stock. And my luck they won’t and will be waiting a year or pay stupid prices on scalperbay…why not just send a bag with the appendages in but they are not allowed to do that.I am one very very unhappy bunny. Will Eaglemoss read this???????Let’s see eh…..not counting my chickens though.
Ricky
September 15th, 2020 - 9:41pmI have been holding off ordering this but remained hopeful after what Neil said about the magazine picture being the actual reference for the model itself.
No way is a model with inaccurate features and missing parts worth £109 of anyone’s money, so it’s a thanks but no thanks for me as the design fault has not been looked at, and I can imagine everyone is the same unless they sort the production mould out, and make a corrected batch.
Neil, we would appreciate your thoughts on this please.
booboo
September 15th, 2020 - 9:53pmNeil deals with the magazine and PR deals with the final offering, in view of other matters arising today we need to review how we handle things in future.
Ricky
September 15th, 2020 - 10:12pmI’d value his opinion on the situation as he is effectively the Eaglemoss representative on here.
Ricky
September 15th, 2020 - 10:29pmIn what way does saying Neil’s opinion is valued and asking a civil question warrant a comment being deleted or rejected?
booboo
September 16th, 2020 - 5:25amFunnily enough i have a life away from this site and had gone to bed and all comments were on moderation which i wont see, like now until early morning, so nothing was deleted or rejected.
You best find a platform that gives you more instant attention.

September 16th, 2020 - 10:29amApologies, my posts showed up on here then both disappeared so I thought they had been deleted for some reason, no offence meant in any way, just a misunderstanding.

September 16th, 2020 - 10:35amWhen they go on moderation you see them when you fist post them but no one else does, they will then vanish next time you look until put through.

September 16th, 2020 - 10:39amThanks for the clarification, I appreciate the effort you put in on this site. A little more patience required on my part next time.

September 16th, 2020 - 12:43pmThese mega models are a complete rip off and the latest fiasco shows the disregard Eaglemoss have for their customers or accuracy. I’ve yet to find a really good one!
As for sending out missing bits, they probably hven’t got them that’s why they can’t.

September 7th, 2020 - 5:08amWhen exactly is this due for release as have heard nothing about it for a long time. Also has the slat been resolved or mesh?
Coleman
August 30th, 2020 - 6:48pmLike to see a large Terileptil, Foamasi or Terileptil android. Something more obscure for a change.
No it won’t happen though due to low sales I suppose.

August 15th, 2020 - 5:11amI am all for continuing figurines but does anyone think that the weeping angel is very close to the release of the genesis dalek? Weeping angel fab figurine no dispute there but by the time 200 comes around the time lord series and the TLV sets will also be at an end as we have 10 months left to go. It seems to me personally and I really hope I am wrong that they are trying to get mega figurines out whilst they can as no word has been forthcoming about an extension. That then would blow my speculation out of the water and I hope it does but what do people think…some would like it to end at 200 but continue with specials and sets and others want it to continue. 50/50 percent???????

August 15th, 2020 - 10:21amWe got asked to make some more. So we did. Another one before Christmas, I think.

August 17th, 2020 - 5:26amThanks for the reply neil.it is nice to know that someone does exactly read these and reply to these messages.
Coleman
August 20th, 2020 - 6:44pmI wouldn’t mind if the main series finishes at 200, as long as the packs and specials continue.
Won’t be content until everything (within reason) is made.
ANDREW TOWNSEND
August 9th, 2020 - 8:54pmHas anyone asked Neil about the mesh and the missing slat above the gun and box? Is that picture just an early picture of it?
Arcadia resident
August 15th, 2020 - 5:16amThat and the stalk eye as it seems a lot larger on the prototype dalek. Hopefully this prototype is or can be rectified and changed.
Neil Corry
August 15th, 2020 - 10:32amWhat’s probably happened is that the slat was broken before the photos were taken. You see the magazine cover? The Dalek illustration is taken from the same CG sculpt used for the physical model.
I haven’t seen an actual model, and I am now going to be worrying all weekend whether this slat exists :)))
Ricky
September 20th, 2020 - 4:04pmHi Neil, have you anymore info on the quibbles with this mega model? Thanks.

July 29th, 2020 - 12:25amAnd no mega figurine 7 a weeping Angel with face hidden by hands
Andrew Townsend
July 20th, 2020 - 5:40amSlat and mesh needed and a little bit smaller eye. Just like on the magazine on the front.
Ricky
July 26th, 2020 - 8:29pmDoes anyone have any updated pictures of this , with a missing slat I can’t believe that’s the final version, if it is that’s one hell of a blunder on a figure that is supposed to be an accurate depiction, especially at the asking price.
Dav McKenzie
July 17th, 2020 - 1:42amOuch! The price has sky rocketed from £84.99 to £109.99
I’m glad I got mine before the hike.

July 18th, 2020 - 8:26pmOuch indeed!
Had both the earlier Mega Daleks in my basket all ready to take advantage of their offer but with that sudden price hike they’re out of the basket again!
Well done for getting an early order in Dav.
Oscar Denman
July 16th, 2020 - 5:36pmThe price tag though, I just can’t see a justification. If it were 100%, screen used level of accuracy, then I would happily pay anything they wanted. But no, not for this. There are better fan models out there for the same price. Sorry guys.
Colin the 3rd
July 16th, 2020 - 5:58pmcan you tell me where i can buy these better fan made ones?
dave
July 16th, 2020 - 8:22pmDefending EagleMoss. I have been a keen collector of these figurines since they started. Yes, they do have their problems. But I know of no other company, that has produced this number of characters from the Doctor Who series and at this price? With even moor on the way. I hope to see them go past 200, but we will have to wait and see. I for one am happy with this product
Martino
July 20th, 2020 - 6:20pmI’ve had two Product Enterprise R/C Daleks serving as static (posable) models for years, and they seem to have the exact same level of detail as this. I just can’t think of any reason to add this Mega to my collection, at this price. It’s nice, but not that nice.
NickD
July 16th, 2020 - 12:53pmIt’s very nice, hopefully just a prototype! It’s nowhere near as good as the ones Titan made about 2012-15. They need both neck mesh and slat shoulder mesh sculpted detail at this sort of scale. Heck even the cloverleaf neck rods would be great.
Dave
July 15th, 2020 - 2:12pmIs there any way of purchasing from EagleMoss, individual blue boxes? Because I would like to separate the figurines that come as a pair. It doesn’t matter which Doctor is on the back.
Gareth Pugh
July 14th, 2020 - 3:07pmRight now Eaglemoss’s site won’t let me checkout (on my Mac or on my iPhone browser) – it keeps saying ‘Shipping Method not selected’ – when I have. Will keep trying.
Gareth Pugh
July 14th, 2020 - 4:35pmWorked eventually after several tries 🙂
Martino
July 14th, 2020 - 2:28pmI think it’s the eye which makes the figure look ‘wrong’ – it looks like it’s just taken a banned substance! Looks like it has about the same level of detail as the Product Enterprise 12″ Genesis Dalek of 20 years ago (and possibly more expensive?)
Martino
June 23rd, 2020 - 11:56amI hope that’s not the finished product, I can’t put my finger on it but it’s not quite right. Would hope to see a detailed Remembrance or Resurrection Dalek before yet another Genesis, but hopefully this will find a market.

July 2nd, 2020 - 3:20amThey need some mesh effect on the ‘neck’ section .
Alvin Amey
July 7th, 2020 - 8:17amI wonder why the dalek has a missing slat (above gunstick),
Ricky
July 15th, 2020 - 1:32pmIf that is the final design, that missing collar slat is a deal breaker for me , surely it can’t go into production with a major fault such as that? Maybe Neil could shed some light on this?
The megas are great otherwise.

June 19th, 2020 - 2:06pmIs there much exclusive stuff in the MEGA figures’ magazines?
Gareth Pugh
June 19th, 2020 - 8:58pmWell, it depends what you mean by ‘exclusive stuff’. They don’t recycle or reprint articles from previous regular issues. That said, much of what the mags feature (and they are often especially nicely designed and a bit more of a dense read than the fortnightly issues) is the kind of stuff you may have read before (as I say, story summaries etc.) Worth having though. Weirdly, with the 5th Mega (Davros, last year) the size of the magazine dropped from sort-of A4 (weirdly they were about 1cm less ‘tall’ than the regular issues, buts same width, so they only just manage to stay held in the folders), to A5.
Oh and thinking about it, they did use the exact same Mag for the Mega K9 as for the 1:21 scale K9 issue. They came out at pretty much the same time so it made sense, I guess.
Arcadia Resident…
June 19th, 2020 - 1:24pmWant one or maybe two…
Gareth Pugh
June 19th, 2020 - 1:24pmI thought they might do this one – the 20pp magazines that came with the first 2 Mega Daleks contain a sort of potted story guide to each of their TV outings – the 1963 Dalek’s mag featured all the 1960s Dalek stories, and the modern RTD bronze Dalek’s one covered from the 2005 return onwards – the 1970s have not had the same treatment yet so I’m guessing that will be in this one… Looks great. Don’t know why, but there is something particularly menacing about the darker filing-cabinet grey Daleks from this story
