Figurine Collection Magazine Issue 179 River Song

Celebrate over half a century of the BBC’s hit series Doctor Who with a brand new magazine and figurine series that covers every year of Doctor Who history, including all the Doctors and all the greatest monsters from Daleks to Weeping Angels.

The Doctor Who Figurine Collection part 179 features River Song as portrayed by Alex Kingston in the 2011 Eleventh Doctor adventure “A Good Man Goes To War”.

The Doctor assembles an alien army to fight the Battle of Demons Run, and we finally discover who River Song really is…

The figurine comes with a fully illustrated 16-page magazine looking behind the scenes at the character.

Eaglemoss Jodie in her tuxedo just arrived today and I only ordered it day before. Excellent service, they sent it with DPD next day delivery but I only payed for the Royal mail service (as usual) which is quite abit cheaper.

Sometimes if you preorder from FP you can get the first figure of the month early. For example with Issues 180 and 181 upcoming, you would get Jodie in the Spyfall tuxedo but not most likely The Alien Ambassador until subscribers have already got theirs. Its usually a case of wait for ‘Add to Basket’ to appear.

      Thanks Ergon,
Always used to go to Forbidden planet at Sheffield every couple of weeks as it’s local to where I live. But with one thing and another I Haven’t been for ages though.

I,m going next week. I don,t want to say what for in case somebody thinks the same but they are items i,ve been after for a while and can pick them up in one fail swoop now funds are picking up. Its a bit pokey but they occasionally get some good stuff in. Got to start putting some sneaky cash aside for those B and M sets out later this year or early 2021.I want all these sets but have to do it on the sly. Much chagrin from the girlfriend whenever she finds i,ve brought more WHO stuff back and theres so much preordered and incoming. Thats what its come to. Luckily we have that extra spare Room.

I used to love going to Forbidden planet at Sheffield, as I mentioned I went all the time. It’s a small shop but choc a block with cool collectibles. Bought loads of Dr who and StarWars stuff from there over the years.

Hopes for River and Davros either this weekend or early next week, as Molloy Davros is now in the basket.

Neil. On back of this could we get the Revolution new design as a Rare Dalek to end the collection on a high for subscribers.

Indeed if it does end at 200. Or do you have something special lined up for the final 3.

Very excited by this one. I’m also pleased by the outfit chosen for the figure, personally I would have gone with The Impossible Astronaut’s cowboy gear, complete with revolver, but this is a great option too.

Even more happy that she was not sidelined in the optional companion sets as some of The Doctor’s friends are just more significant to the mythology than others… having said that though, Susan was not included in the main range, and neither were Rose, K9 or Sarah Jane. Never mind, here’s hoping The Brigadier gets a proper issue next.
