Figurines ok surprisingly in grey plastic bag – lost count of number of daleks received damaged over the years. But magazines were folded and creased to buggery. Bring back the (more environmentally-friendly) cardboard boxes, please. And more care with the packaging overall would be nice too. Thanks.

I don’t have anything to do with logistics, so this is news to me. I’ll keep an eye out if there are problems.

Figurines were all fine. Just find it difficult to adapt to change.

Yeah, so not only are we paying £2 more a month but we are getting an inferior delivery service (more risk of figurines arriving damaged) – let’s not get into the environmental impact of using PLASTIC bags.

BTW – Am I the only one that didn’t get an email informing of the price increase? I complained and CS said an email was sent. I definatley didn’t get one nor have I had the delivery notification email for the last couple of months.

I never got an email but there was a note in one of deliveries informing me of the price increase which most people seem to mention.

I don’t think a £1 increase per figure after five years of maintaining the original price is a problem. I don’t like the plastic bag idea though. Cardboard is easily recycled.

Neil, there are definitely problems with the delivery method. Mine arrived in the grey plastic wrapping totally unsuited for the purpose. The figures are fine, their individual boxes protected them. The magazines and the figures’ boxes were just a little bit on the mangled side. I’ll be sending them back and asking for replacements. If the plastic was intended as a cost saving measure then I think it will backfire. There’s likely to be more than a few subscribers getting wound up about the state their issues arrive in.

I’m sure he will pass it on to the relevant dept, although he doesn’t have any connection to how these are distributed. I have had the same problem however, crushed Dalek box (Dalek Ok) and bent/creased magazines.

This is being investigated further at Eaglemoss.

Thanks Neil. All the great work done in creating these ever increasingly detailed figures and the highly informative magazines should mean they deserve to get to collectors in the best condition possible. That way we can all fully appreciate the time, effort and skill that went into creating them.

Can you guys think of anymore Dalek ideas, (be it normal issue, rare or bonus) that I might have missed?

Standard solar slats 60s Dalek from Hartnell/Troughton era
Black domed solar slats Dalek from Troughton era
Gun metal grey Dalek from Pertwee era
Spiridon light wave Dalek/invisible Dalek from Pertwee era
Standard Destiny Dalek without suicide bombs from T Baker era
    Standard Dalek from Davison era
Stengos Dalek from C Baker era
Renegade faction standard Dalek version 2 from McCoy era (probably a ton more classics I’ve forgotten plus variants of those as well.)
Metaltron chained to lights on a larger base (either as a special or rare/bonus Dalek.)
    Open Dalek from that episode.
Dalek with flamethrower from series 1 finale.
    Genesis Ark.
Open Dalek Sec (either as a rare or bonus Dalek.)
The last two nonmetallic paradigm Daleks from Victory
Legacy Dalek variants from series 9 two-parter.

Those are just the ones I could remember, probably a lot more options than that still to go.

Genesis Ark is Time Lord technology. I’ve got loads of Invisible Daleks. Destiny Dalek is too similar to others. Stengos Dalek is too difficult. Renegade Faction… which one? They’re all different. We’ve done chained up Dalek. Open Dalek/Dalek Sec is something we’re looking into. Haven’t you had enough Paradigm Daleks? There’s one “Legacy Dalek” that’s worth people’s time, and is on the list.

How about separate episode collections?..3 or 4 in a set from classic stories..(Talons of Weng Chiang would probably need an 8 figure set!)..Leela,Romana(s),Peri,Harry are all long overdue imho….anyhow, keep up the great work everyone & keep this collection going & going..the possibilties are almost endless.

      WE LOVE YOU NEIL!

So hoping that comment was a cryptic message that there’s a ton more stuff on the way and you’re just not able to say anything yet.

I left a message on the Dalek Gunship comment thread and, even though it’s basically an essay, I hope you’ve had a chance to give it a look. We are all so grateful for the hard work, love and effort you, Ben and all of the Eaglemoss/Hero Collector have put in to this collection. I’m hoping we can get to 260-300 issues but I’m happy with whatever.
