Dr Who Figurine Collection 2nd Doctor & Jamie Companion Set 6

A new series from the Doctor Who Figurine Collection featuring the Time Lord’s most memorable companions! Collected together for the first time, the Second Doctor and his companion Jamie McCrimmon.

Jamie McCrimmon & The Second Doctor Figurine Set captures them as seen in the adventure “The Abominable Snowmen”. The figurine of the Second Doctor is wrapped in a warm long fur coat and can be easily mistaken for a Yeti. Jamie McCrimmon is dressed in a traditional highlander outfit, wearing a kilt with blue stripes, black boots and long socks.

Product Features:

  • Both figurines measures approx 9.8 cm tall
  • Material: Metallic Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
  • Hand-painted for incredible detail
  • Great gift for Doctor Who fans

The Second Doctor and his companion Jamie McCrimmon includes a 20-page magazine looking at the companion’s development in the long-running show, with behind-the-scenes info on the related story’s production.

Significantly better quality than the last couple of sets. Clearly lessons have been learned.

Just received the Second Doctor/Jamie set! Great figures I think and again loads of detail for the scale.
I was just wondering if there might be the chance for companion only sets down the line although I know Doctors are more popular but I can just see ‘two Romanas’ (in ‘Androids of Tara’ & ‘Destiny of the Daleks’ costumes), Ian/Barbara and Ben/Polly in sets…but please keep them coming in whatever variations!

Last time I checked, there was actually more classic figures than new who figures, maybe it just seems like the other way round to you because you only want certain ones.

Ah yes, well known characters like the Moroks… surely you can see the irony in claiming it’s wrong to have modern monsters when you’re asking for a museum curator in a funny wig?

Well, hats off to Eaglemoss and DPD – although they said Monday, they’ve just delivered it now! Very good set, the paintwork on the fur coat is great.

Aw man I must’ve missed it? I see comments of people saying they’ve already ordered and gotten shipping notifications, but going to the shop.eaglemoss.com link in the article I don’t see the figures anywhere. I’ll have to bookmark the page and keep an eye on it to snatch them another day. Jamie has been my favorite for ages, but aside from that mini metal figure off Frazer’s website I don’t know of any other official figures for him, so I’m really happy to see this 🙂

I think some people expect too much nowadays
Face it some figures just can’t be made, myself a more nu-Who fan am gutted they can’t really do the vespiform but that doesn’t mean that makes the collection classic biased !!!!
Just some figures can’t be done. That’s the sad real truth.
I am enjoying the Figures now more than ever, they have got better and better since I picked up Issue one in the co-operative back in September 2013.

The series has been running several years…theyve had plenty of time to sort this and other issues out. However as I stopped my subscription in the face of nu-who overkill on the set it doesnt matter that much that the set is – in my opinion – incomplete.

Frumious Bandersnatch, Neil C has said earlier this year they probably can’t do the Menoptera justice with their materials and processes and that they probably won’t be doing one.

yes I had the same, and just ordered it to save missing out. I’m not bothered about next day delivery and don’t mind waiting as long as I get one, and think it is very expensive.

Hello All. I managed to use the discount code by going to the basket before putting the figures into it. Entered the WHOS12 and then put the figures in. The payment screen showed full price but after payment on the “my orders” section of the account it showed the discounted payment. My confirmation email also shows the discount as well. Hope this helps.

ok the figures aren’t an exact likeness. But they’re pretty close. And they definitely have expressions on them rather than just a blank stare. The human faces are slowly getting better. Can’t get them perfect at that scale but as long as they look like the characters they’re supposed to be then I’m not too bothered. In any case, the photographs are larger and in 2D. When you get the figures in your hands they’re usually a lot better.

Theres a lot of detail there – buttons, ribbed socks, shoelaces, belt buckle, the Doctor’s arched eyebrows..

Pretty impressive for such a small scale.

The Doctor: You look very nice in that dress, Victoria.
    Victoria: Thank you. Don’t you think it’s a bit…
The Doctor: A bit short? Oh, I shouldn’t worry about that. Look at Jamie’s.
Jamie: Hey, I’ll have you know that… Oh, aye.

Thanks for that flashback to the ‘Tomb’ story. Anyone recreating different epsiodes with their figures and not just putting them on display?

Here’s what I think their faces suggest:

Doctor ‘right Jamie, now they think i’m an idiot it’s time to sort them out…’
Jamie ‘ oh not again Doctor!’

a little ‘different’ sort of Companion sets? Are we talking Paternoster Gang or maybe the Brigadier and co. from UNIT?

Triple packs as well as twin packs?

No, no, don’t tell me. it’ll spoil the surprise!

      It’s like waiting for Christmas!
