I’ve said this before a few times the collection would have to go beyond 180 as the last binder will only have 4 issues in it. So they would have to go another 12 issues at least which would take them to 192 issues

Don’t forget the Special Editions as well. Same size magazines as the regular issues so another couple of binders needed for them. Keep the same blue background and Tardis image or a new design binder featuring the new Gallifrey script style of logos?

I must say, the positioning of the Cybershade name on this is a bit weird-why not all on one line, or if they want to use both to keep uniformity, The Cybershades? Beautiful cover though.

I think that that has a lot to do with Cyber Planner, Cyber Leader, Cyber Controller, etc. Use of Cyberman as one word but the rest all separate, hence Cyber Shade?

It wouldn’t fit on one line.

I personally prefer the singular anyway, if you don’t buy multiples, it is inaccurate when it says “The X’s”

I wander if we’ll get either bates or straton body converted cyber workers from AOTC, lisa hallet cyberwoman from torchwood, mondas cybus cyberman from blood of the cybermen or the stealh cyberman also from AOTC.
Any of those would be great

I’d say only the black Cyberman is likely of those-their licence covers just the main TV show, so no Torchwood or Adventure Games, and Bates and Stratton aren’t really major enough characters to be done at this point, given we may only have 20 issues left. I would also love Cybermen from A Good Man Goes To War and Closing Time though!

      Oh, and the Pandorica Cyberman!

I’ve stopped trying to put together a list of figures I’d like to see before the collection ends.

Every time I start off small, thinking of only one story, or a particular group, I then find myself adding in another dozen or more. Even worse for Daleks and Cybermen. The problem is there are too many characters to be included. The collection would have to get to 200, 300, 400 … to account for all of the possible variations. Some would be impractical to make because of technical difficulties. Others may have licencing issues. If you then add in the non-televised material you could be looking at a collection that could easily get to 500 or so regular issues.

I really hope the collection continues beyond 180, or even 200 issues. There’s definitely still a lot of interest, and a lot more possible characters to include. Hopefully it is also still profitable to continue. I’m assuming it is otherwise why would the 10th Doctor + Rose companion set be getting re-stocked?

Judging by his updates on here, Neil Corry must enjoy his work on this collection, even with all the enthusiastic suggestions (nagging!) he gets from us collectors. If there is the possibility of the collection continuing then I’ve no doubt he’s one of the people behind the scenes who’s pushing for it.

At some point the collection will have to end. If all the stories for either the classic era (up to Paul McGann) or the end of the first regeneration cycle (Matt Smith) have been covered then I’ll be happy. I’ll also optimistically hope that the collection could be resurrected (regenerated!) at some future point so that it continues on for as long as the Doctor does.

Neil, thanks for all the work so far. Keep going for as long as you can with this collection. I’m running out of display space and my bank balance doesn’t thank you. Any chance of a working full size Tardis with transcendental properties just so I’ve somewhere to put them all?

Why doesn’t Eaglemoss do a poll of unproduced characters and monsters from the classic and new series? That way they’d get a feel, for what collectors and fans would buy. I really don’t want the collection to end at 180. There’s lots of monsters like the Nimon etc that would make great figures. Plus you’ve got series 12 to think about.

To John and Anonymous, thanks for these posts. You’re right: I love my job immensely. At Eaglemoss we try hard to work out what should be included in the collection. I want everything, but that’s kind of tough because as a partwork I know it will end and we’re likely not to have done everything we might want to.

John, a neat poll was done a little time and attention was duly paid to it. We should (fingers crossed because plans do change) be seeing the Nimon as part of the last ten figurines (unless the collection is extended past 180). Have you seen their shoes? The poor actors.

Are there any plans to do the Cyber Planner / Co-ordinator from the Wheel in Space / the Invasion?

Sauvix: we would love to be able to do either a planner or co-ordinator or even both, but we don’t think our process would make it a success. We do regularly review this, however…
