August 22nd, 2014 - 7:58pmBooboo, is it true if Sainsbury’s has an exclusive edition that comes with a bonus disc that includes Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor

August 10th, 2014 - 9:30pmI was just wondering, you know how Cinema’s sell Posters and sometimes Shirts for Films they’re showing. Do you think any cinema that’s showing Deep Breath may be selling posters or anything at the showing? That would be pretty cool.

August 10th, 2014 - 7:00pmI hope the rest of series 8 comes out as vanilla releases through the next few months. I’ve been collecting them since series 1 instead of the box sets. I much prefer them in amaray cases than a cheap thin cardboard box, that will likely get tatty and damaged sooner rather than later.
theHAWKearsFORKS
August 14th, 2014 - 3:25pmUmmmmmmmm. Sorry, what – box sets are better with more special features and looks more smart. Though you are entitled to your own opinion.

August 24th, 2014 - 9:37ami prefer individual cases aswell i love the classic DVDs style just looking at all the stories in order
Doom Dalek
August 10th, 2014 - 11:27amI Hope They Do The Following For Series 8 DVDS & ALL THe Episodes Past & Future
a) Every Episode Individually (To Make it feel like a classic episode)
or
b) Series 8 Volume 1: Into The Dalek, Robots Of Sherwood & Listen, Series 8 Volume 2: Time Heist, etc, etc ….

August 10th, 2014 - 4:15pmThe first idea probably won’t happen as classic DVD’s usually have at least 2 hours worth of content with these only 45 minutes (not including ‘Deep Breath’). The second idea is definitely possible but I didn’t really like it when they used to do that with series 1-5 so I just prefer the box sets 🙂
cyberdalek6
August 13th, 2014 - 6:58amThey should do the first idea, but add a lot of extra content. Or maybe only do two episodes on one disc, and have a behind the scences disc included.

August 8th, 2014 - 10:29amsort of… don’t forget we have had individual releases for ‘The Next Doctor’, ‘Planet of the Dead’, ‘The Waters of Mars’, ‘The End of Time’, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe’, ‘The Day of the Doctor’ and ‘The Time of the Doctor’… so it’s not the first to be released on it’s own

August 8th, 2014 - 5:01pmThere all different situations though

August 7th, 2014 - 11:31pmThis is more for casual fans and newbies who want to get into the show but without the expensive boxset
theHAWKeatsFORKS
August 14th, 2014 - 3:28pmNo, it’s really not. Casual fans will more likely watch again on iPlayer. This is for fans who can’t wait for the box set.

August 20th, 2014 - 10:07amIt wont be available on iplayer forever though

August 7th, 2014 - 7:23pm£10 is quite steep!
Trenzalore
August 7th, 2014 - 8:28pmNo I think it’s the right price, it’s basically the length of an average movie, it’ll probably be half price anyway in a few months 😆
CaptainJack2000
August 7th, 2014 - 6:54pmI think this will be a one off release, but I think there will be the volume DVDs like there was with the tennant era and series 5, and there will be the final series box set
doctorrivertardis
August 7th, 2014 - 6:11pmdoes any one know if the extra content will also be on the complete series 8 boxset?
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
August 7th, 2014 - 7:22pmthey usually put a behind the scenes vid online
Existent Being
August 7th, 2014 - 5:26pmThe BBC appear to be milking loads of releases of the same thing recently. I’m not complaining, as I almost never buy at the time of release, and I like the choice.
Rebel Time Lord
August 7th, 2014 - 2:27pmJust seen this 10 mins ago at doctor who world tour it was fantastic but Steven Moffat says not to tell anyone about it so I hope you enjoy it when you see it on the 23rd or if your seeing it at any of the other world tours

August 7th, 2014 - 2:21pmWhat a waste of money. I get it – it’s getting a cinena release. But this will be on the Series 8 boxset… why buy this if you can get it with the rest of the series in a couple months?
Sorry. I just don’t see the point. Just the BBC trying to bleed collectors of their money.
booboo
August 7th, 2014 - 3:01pmJust like any other buisness then they are providing a choice and the choice is down to individuals whether to buy or not
the astronaut of death
August 7th, 2014 - 3:06pmWell there is half an hour of extra content
So I imagine the high collectors who like everything will get it
the astronaut of death
August 7th, 2014 - 3:07pmAnd thinking about it I’m not surprised this got its own DVD raise as it 75 minuits long

August 7th, 2014 - 1:37pmIf I get really impatient for the boxset and can’t wait for episode 1, then I know what I might end up doing!
The TARDIS
August 7th, 2014 - 1:36pmThey couldn’t announce the “volume” releases at the same time as the series set, could they? I updated my ENTIRE new series collection into box sets so that it wouldn’t suddenly change and now they announce this! As long as the special features are included on the box set (which I am sure they will be, the box sets are usually far better for bonus features that volumes) I shall stick to the complete set.
The Other
August 7th, 2014 - 1:33pmSeems pointless to me, may as well get the whole series together
Trenzalore
August 7th, 2014 - 1:24pmJust seems to me as a collector a way of getting more money out of us (as I will probably buy this) but to the casual viewer it’s a good idea I suppose.
I imagine this artwork will stay as the cover, it’s an excellent picture 🙂
The Doctor Is In
August 7th, 2014 - 12:52pmDoes anyone know the “Deep Breath” font?
The Twelfth Doctor
August 7th, 2014 - 12:49pmWhile I think this’d be very nice to have, I’m just going to wait for the ‘Complete Eighth Series’ boxset.
