I was just wondering, you know how Cinema’s sell Posters and sometimes Shirts for Films they’re showing. Do you think any cinema that’s showing Deep Breath may be selling posters or anything at the showing? That would be pretty cool.

I hope the rest of series 8 comes out as vanilla releases through the next few months. I’ve been collecting them since series 1 instead of the box sets. I much prefer them in amaray cases than a cheap thin cardboard box, that will likely get tatty and damaged sooner rather than later.

Ummmmmmmm. Sorry, what – box sets are better with more special features and looks more smart. Though you are entitled to your own opinion.

I Hope They Do The Following For Series 8 DVDS & ALL THe Episodes Past & Future
    a) Every Episode Individually (To Make it feel like a classic episode)

    or

    b) Series 8 Volume 1: Into The Dalek, Robots Of Sherwood & Listen, Series 8 Volume 2: Time Heist, etc, etc ….

The first idea probably won’t happen as classic DVD’s usually have at least 2 hours worth of content with these only 45 minutes (not including ‘Deep Breath’). The second idea is definitely possible but I didn’t really like it when they used to do that with series 1-5 so I just prefer the box sets 🙂

They should do the first idea, but add a lot of extra content. Or maybe only do two episodes on one disc, and have a behind the scences disc included.

sort of… don’t forget we have had individual releases for ‘The Next Doctor’, ‘Planet of the Dead’, ‘The Waters of Mars’, ‘The End of Time’, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe’, ‘The Day of the Doctor’ and ‘The Time of the Doctor’… so it’s not the first to be released on it’s own

What a waste of money. I get it – it’s getting a cinena release. But this will be on the Series 8 boxset… why buy this if you can get it with the rest of the series in a couple months?

Sorry. I just don’t see the point. Just the BBC trying to bleed collectors of their money.

They couldn’t announce the “volume” releases at the same time as the series set, could they? I updated my ENTIRE new series collection into box sets so that it wouldn’t suddenly change and now they announce this! As long as the special features are included on the box set (which I am sure they will be, the box sets are usually far better for bonus features that volumes) I shall stick to the complete set.
