Dotor Who Twelfth Doctor 8″ Figure (Cancelled)

Doctor Who Twelfth Doctor 8-Inch Action Figure

This item in now cancelled

The wait is over! The Twelfth Doctor has been revealed and Bif Bang Pow! is proud to introduce the Twelfth Doctor in an 8-inch scale EMCE action figure! Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor stands about 8-inches tall and features real fabric clothing, accessories, and multiple points of articulation. Ages 14 and up.

Produced by the BBC, Doctor Who is the longest-running sci-fi TV series in the world. The award-winning show presents the adventures of a time traveler known simply as “the Doctor.” Along with his companions, this mysterious Time Lord journeys through time and space using his TARDIS, which appears from the outside to be an ordinary police phone booth.

The Twelfth Doctor!

I was really excited to hear that Peter Capaldi has been chosen to be the 12th incarnation of Doctor Who! Of course, for us, the announcement immediately threw us into high gear! We are licensed to make Doctor Who action figures, and we want to be sure that fans can get their hands on their 12th Doctor action figures as soon as possible!

So what does this mean? As soon as we heard the announcement, we began making the sculpt for the action figure’s head. It takes a long time to create a sculpt that meets our standards. We also need to get it approved by the BBC and the actor himself.

Once we get a sculpt approved, we’ve got to wait…

Hey – I’m new here, obviously. Does anyone known if the 5″ line is officially cancelled for sure? Will there be all new 5″ figures?

I wish they would hurry up & release the other 15 they have shown, instead of giving imaginary Pre-Order dates for a 12th. Doctor figure for 2014!

Booboo do you think you could do a poll to see what percentage of people would buy 5″ new series figures again. I’m just really interested!

there isn’t any point because i know what the result would be, but a few 1000 core collectors aren’t enough to keep the line going

I can’t wait to find out what his costume is like for this and just in general. I’m sure Howard Burden will help make it look amazing; he did with Matt’s 7b costume!

I wonder when we’ll see a release date for the Tenth Doctor, new Eleventh Doctor and mystery Doctor (John Hurt) from Biff Bang Pow? They did confirm they would release these figures in the same format.

Well it would need to be, nobody knows what his costume will be like (even Peter Capaldi doesn’t know yet) so they are going to have to wait for that decision to be made before they can finish it.

Also..his hair…they may have to change that sculpt completely….he may have a beard….glasses…

Nothing like riding a wave of euphoria to make a quick buck…the whole thing is utter silliness…why would anyone order a product without seeing it first? Those pictures they have included may aswell be of the queen for what use they are.

I so hope they resume the 5 inch figures, as the the 3.75 figures aren’t detailed at all and they don’t fit with our other figures.

As much as I do like the 3.75″ figures I really hope that other companies are going to make new figures like the Capaldi one here but just in 5″. It would just be so much better!

He looked like the Master with his goatee – VERY Master-ish. I hope he doesn’t have it in the show.

i want him to haave the goatee and for his costume a Sherlock omes jumper and a vest with no tie or bow tie and for his shoes i wouuld want him to have boots and it would be cool if he had a belt to hold his sonic! and the colour of his suit a dark blue! whats you guys thoughts on my choices?

they need to make a new 12 Doctor 5″ set with a NEW variant for each Doctor, including the 12th Doctor…maybe even a John Hurt figure. Smith could be in his purple coat, Tennant in the brown suit which we’ve been waiting for for years now.

They HAVE to make a Hurt Doctor and even more so a 12th Doctor in the 5″ scale…

Damn, I do hope they do make a 5″ one.

i think that in the 50th special the 10th doctors sonic screwdriver will merge into matt,s one and it will make a hybrid between david,s sonic and matt,s sonic and that will then in the christmas special will be hande over to peter capaldi

I think that River Song would have it, because the 10th Doctor’s Sonic lasted until the Eleventh Hour when it was exploded, so how does River Song have one almost identical to it?

      August 19th, 2013 - 3:14pm

      hello joe
davids tardis could make him another one like in smith and jones at the end

      August 19th, 2013 - 3:22pm

      hello mister
i think that the rivers sonic is the doctors sonic in the future like at the end of his life he gives river his sonic

    • dalek 105

      August 19th, 2013 - 3:30pm

oh and also mister i think that in the 45th doctors last episode (example) the doctors will for some reason find davids sonic on the ground and keep it as his sonic

      they might not change it

but as much as I love the one we have now I think we should get a new one something more dark and mechanical

and I do not think they should change the tardis we have only had this tardis for a half of a series and I love the one we have

but if they did make a new screwdriver something more mechanical and dark

    • Matt Smithy

      August 19th, 2013 - 8:15am

completely agree astronaut, but I think they should wait for the NEXT Doctor like they did with Chris/David, as not every doctor needs a new one. Or at least I think they should change it a series or two in to his run. But yes, dark and mechanical.

Only the 8th Doctor had his screwdriver, the same with the 2nd and 3rd

Actually your wrong, Pertwee also had Tom Baker’s Sonic Screwdriver for his last season.

The sonic screwdriver is so overused these days. It has become a magic wand that doesn’t even have a feather of a Phoenix in it to add some jazz to an ongoing sub plot. My vote goes for Twelve to have NO screwdriver.
