October 30th, 2014 - 8:52amI Am VERY disapointed that the figure has been moved back AGAIN. This is becoming a flipping joke. I’m in a good mind to contact FPI to share my displeasure and ask for a reason why this set has been moved back to the end of the year. I ordered this in July. Grrr!
CaptainJimiPie
October 30th, 2014 - 8:35pmFYI, blame CO not FP
booboo
October 30th, 2014 - 9:59pmrightly or wrongly FP is the 1st port of call as this is the point of sale, they should pass any feedback back to whoever controls stock shipments and allocation if they feel its necessary
there is a huge gap in regional deliveries on this now and people are turning cancelling orders and buying overseas and that cant be good
I doubt whether any of us really know what is going on behind the scenes

October 30th, 2014 - 6:23amWow thanks alot for making this set now come out on the 28th of november because im so happy that my mum told me yesterday I wouldn’t get this on my birthday whats a week and a day after so I am annoyed is well that I cant start filming my DWFA in December now

October 29th, 2014 - 3:29pmI finally caved in and decided to buy one off eBay from the US so that I will get it sooner, although I still have one to receive from fp next month.
RhysCH
October 29th, 2014 - 1:05pmHow much is it in total to order it from Popcultcha? Does it vary? I’m considering ordering it from there instead!
Anonymous
October 29th, 2014 - 10:58amI’m glad it’s been delayed because a lot of people want this set for Christmas and now there’s less chance it will be sold out by Christmas
The Living Shadow
October 29th, 2014 - 12:56pmI totally agree!
The Twelfth Doctor
October 29th, 2014 - 10:27amCancelled my FP order and ordered one with Popcultcha a few weeks ago. It arrived yesterday. I’m so glad I did this rather than waiting until at least early December for it to arrive from FP.
RhysCH
October 29th, 2014 - 1:00pmDid you get any import taxes or whatever it is? How much was it in total?
The Twelfth Doctor
October 29th, 2014 - 3:38pmNo import fees which was great. Came to around £25 so a little cheaper than Forbidden Planet.

November 9th, 2014 - 11:49pmI have just cancelled my fp order and re-ordered from popcultcha. How long did yours take to arrive?
Doctor number 10
October 29th, 2014 - 9:05amConfused why little companies are getting this set first before Entertainment Earth, Forbidden Planet an so on. Really stupid. I ordered 2 sets from EE and now it says November. Cancelled order from EE and bought it from Radar Toys and got it in 3 days. $40 for each set from Radar Toys. Buy it from Radar Toys, i’ve bought a lot from them in the past. Easy to work with. Tired of stupid companies like FP and EE waisting time on pre-orders to come in.
booboo
October 29th, 2014 - 9:17amConfused isn’t the word, businesses are loosing out to rivals because of cancelled orders and UK people ordering overseas.
we are not talking days or weeks difference now but months
Andy Thorpe
October 29th, 2014 - 6:58amUnbelievable.I too got the same e-mail. Makes me laugh because Doctor Who is a “British” show and its we the British Doctor Who fans that are getting screwed. I’m disappointed beyond belief.
MrMontageMaker
October 28th, 2014 - 11:05pmForbidden Planet have postponed this set once again now to the 28th of. November! This is becoming a joke! I love Peter Capaldi’s doctor and I want this set ASAP! I’ve waited forever!
CaptainJimiPie
October 30th, 2014 - 8:37pmSo you’ve actually been waiting since the dawn of time for this….wow that’s dedication, not to mention a bit of an exaggeration :-p
Nathan
October 28th, 2014 - 8:17pmFor crying out loud just got an email from forbidden planet saying this has been delayed until mid to late November

October 25th, 2014 - 7:57amI got this set yesterday. It is amazing, can’t say enough nice things about it. Love the aged Doctor face, it’s great work. And the Capaldi face in 5 inch scale…the detail is pure art. If you have not yet ordered this, do so. Mine arrived in just a few days from WHONA, here in the States. Looking forward to Ace, and the newest announced 5 inch figures. Like the 4th Doctor regenerated. Good stuff.
Anthony
October 24th, 2014 - 9:05pmis this out yet in the UK? Or are we still waiting? Was it for end of October?
booboo
October 24th, 2014 - 9:09pmnot out yet
Anthony
October 24th, 2014 - 9:19pmHope It doesn’t get delayed but really I am just grateful that I got the War Doc. Phew. After stressing. I also managed to get the Clara and Doc set. Hope we get a one off Deep Breathe set – be nice to see Strax – Vashtra – Jenny- 12 new costume and closed sonic. And well a Time Of The Doctor Clara. Maybe a New Flight Control Tardis new interior with lighting. But they stopped it haven’t they good ideas though. Collected a few of the new 3.75 inch but not the 12th new costume wish it had the red lining.
Danny
October 22nd, 2014 - 4:54pmbooboo(or anyone) how much will shipping cost if i ordered this from whona?
The Silent Silent
October 22nd, 2014 - 4:58pmaround £30 and you probably wont get stopped as customs as they mark the item with lower value than it actually is. 🙂
Danny
October 22nd, 2014 - 5:00pmOk thanks dude 🙂
RhysCH
October 28th, 2014 - 6:32pm30 quid for shipping? :S I know it’s from Australia but that’s the cost of another set! How are people affording this?
booboo
October 28th, 2014 - 6:35pmwhona are expensive on shipping, popculcha are £6 – £7
Eric the Dalek
October 21st, 2014 - 8:03amI just ordered mine tonight from WHONA, here in the States. I can’t remember having to wait this long of a time on a Who figure set, once it was announced. If C.O. are smart, they will continue to put out the major characters in 5 inch scale, once in a while. Like the 12th in his standard clothes, and a new style Cyberman. The small ones are just…awful. Sorry, don’t mean to sound critical, they just are not anywhere close to the quality of the larger ones. The economy isn’t the real reason you did it.
booboo
October 21st, 2014 - 8:20amThese are commissioned and marketed by Underground toys not Character, they manufacture them
Retailer lack of interest, feedback and a changing market did it which is well documented
I think they will continue with “key” safe high volume selling figures such as the war doctor as long as the demand contiunes
The classic lines future seem to be down a work in progress idea of enough people committing to buy a voted for figure
Eric the Dalek
October 22nd, 2014 - 6:58amSo, Underground Toys in Cal. makes the call on what gets made or doesn’t? As a fan of Who, and collector, I feel like I am getting the shove off from them. Thanks for the info though, booboo. Either way, the result is the same. The fans/collectors are forced to deal with bad changes to a great product. I hate to see Who product not being given it’s due respect in merchandising. If is isn’t broke, don’t mess with success.
booboo
October 22nd, 2014 - 8:41amit was broke, well and truly, 3 years ago, some people clearly dont understand that and have no idea of how business works
all this “give the fans what they want” business doesn’t work if there are not enough of them and more to the point it doesn’t have mass retailer support any longer.
and we are getting 5″ figures are we not, we have had 3 superb big selling sets in a row thanks to underground toys (and characters input) – and people still want to bash them!
shatner
October 24th, 2014 - 1:37ami agree 3.75 inch figures are awful i work with kids and they all agree we have all stopped buying the small ones and only get the 5 inch. Also the shop assistant in the bbc shop said they are not selling as well its obvious the 5 inch ones always sold out in days the small ones dont
booboo
October 24th, 2014 - 8:23amthey yours must be the exception to the rule
3.75 are selling fine, especially amongst kids
