Yeah,it’s like they did the head before they figured out his character. 12 isn’t a “smiley-happy” Doctor. An irritated/determined look would’ve fit him more.

Saying that, I still pre-ordered it as fast as possible and am counting the days until it’s in my hands…

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! The Impossible Set looks so good, but is terribly over-priced £30, seriously? Not sure which one to get!

The Impossible Set is a better price considering the FP Exclusives are usually £15, so I’d get that one if I didn’t have enough money for both (I mean, it’s a Clara figure!)

    • Trenzalore1502

      August 18th, 2014 - 8:50pm

So for 2 exclusive figures, it’s actually the right price considering everything.

    • timefordoctorwho

      August 20th, 2014 - 8:09pm

if you want to get clara then get the impossible set because either way you still get a fantastic matt smith figure in each of the sets.

get both thats what I am doing

  • Dalek Database

    August 15th, 2014 - 6:06pm

See the problem I have with this set, and the reason I won’t be buying it is this – it only has the capability to make one full figure, and I think it should be a matt smith with swappable head as one figure, and a regenerated capaldi figure as a separate figure

I’m now thinking that Underground toys won’t release a Capaldi and Clara set until the season finale (for Christmas) because they will want The Impossible set and the Time of the Doctor sets to sell and I have a fealing that if they were to announce a Capaldi and Clara set, people would stop buying the Impossible set and the Time of the Doctor as we are only (really) getting them for Oswin(/Clara) and the Capaldi head (maybe Matt’s Series 7 part 2 costume, but maybe Capaldi). And personally, I would like them to release it at Christmas as it…

Will probably be £30 and I need to start saving up for it (and I expect many others will be feeling like this if they were to release it)

    • Trenzalore1502

      August 15th, 2014 - 4:35pm

They might not even release one at all, so I’m certainly not going to miss out on this one.

  • Dalekparadigm2

    August 13th, 2014 - 12:56pm

When are they going to make a Peter Capaldi new outfit figure in 5 inch scale? This one’s really good but changing the heads all the time would get annoying. I know from previous experiences that the neck joints aren’t made very well but maybe that’s changed. I haven’t bothered to change the John Hurt head to Paul McGann because of this.

    • Davidscustoms11

      August 13th, 2014 - 10:21am

No they had to sculpt a new head because this will have a plug and the series six figure has a peg.

Same sculpt just different mould with a neck hole.

    • Trenzalore1502

      August 9th, 2014 - 2:32pm

It’s probably actually better for the five inch figures to be released like this, as it’s means that the quality of the figures are much better because they have spent more time creating the figure and perfecting it’s features before dispatching them to retailers. It also creates a huge buzz when a figure comes out, which means that Character of Underground Toys make more money, meaning that they can keep creating these figures.

Week later sold everyone out of stock. So I will ask my mum could I have thirty quid just to keep it spare. The original pictures were clearly overexposed (but that purple was electric and looked great!) And the new pictures look slightly stretched making the figure look fatter. If you look at the boxed picture, the figure looks fantastic, slim and perfect.

I still think this set is going to be great. The promo pictures don’t do the figure justice I don’t think, but that said, it still looks marvelous!

Yeah agree but I do think that they should paint the coat a more brown.
