Doctor Who The Wheel In Space Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP

Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk

“You know our ways. You must be destroyed.”

The complete full-cast soundtrack of this classic ‘lost’ BBC TV adventure is presented for the first time on 3LP vinyl by Demon Records, with linking narration by Wendy Padbury.

When the Doctor (Patrick Troughton) and Jamie (Frazer Hines) are rescued by the crew of the Wheel space station, they uncover the Cybermen’s plot to invade Earth with the help of deadly Cybermat servants. First broadcast in 1968, the story introduces a new companion for the Doctor in the shape of Zoe Herriot, played by Wendy Padbury.

Written by David Whitaker from a story by Kit Pedler, and directed by Tristan de Vere Cole, only two episodes are known to exist on film. Thankfully all six survive as sound recordings, complete with incidental music and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop’s familiar Doctor Who theme music. With a striking cover illustration, the three ‘Bernalium Blue’ coloured 12” discs are housed in inner sleeves with vintage TV guide-style listings for each episode

The Amazon listing doesn’t let you pre-order at the moment – seem to remember the latest blu-ray collection release had a similar issue initially too!

Yeah, I Remember the Latest Dr Who Blu- Ray Collection Release having Pre-Order Problems from Amazon for a Couple of Days. I ended up Ordering it from Zaavi in the End. It Turned out for the Best as on Arrival it was Well Packed and Even Arrived Early.
