BBC Studios announce release of Season 14 in the Doctor Who: The Collection Blu-Ray range.
Doctor Who fans will be delighted to hear that BBC Studios is releasing Season 14 on Blu-Ray. Tom Baker’s third series as the Doctor will debut on Monday 20th April.

Various rumours and sources have been saying for months its Season 20 next – to be honest I don’t care, I will order it whatever it is. Could be Season 1 – could be Season 25.
Personally I hope they roll out “New Series” who in this format and re label them as Season 27 and onwards to FINALLY bring it to a uniform look on my shelf in the lounge.
It is all now “canon” after all

I know that Sarah Sutton had mentioned that an idea had been pitched to do abother roadtrip for s20 to amsterdam With plans to film in the summer if it got the go ahead. May 1st, 2020 - 4:29pmJohn Barrett no one refers to the new series as season 27 – season 38 so although it would look better with season on the new series collection boxsets, the bbc would rather have series 1 – series 12 as that is what is more used as the name for the new series. And if they do a wilderness years set between season 26 and series 1 then that would be a boxset without season on it so it won’t look off next if all the classic and new series boxsets if they are put together in a row

I really hope that once the collection is finished BBC Books releases a big coffee table style book about his design process and all the artwork along with scrapped ideas that he had.
He deserves that much and I’m sure it would sell well. It would also allow fans not in UK who don’t get the limited editions to view all the artwork too.

May 1st, 2020 - 9:19amI received an email from Zoom for the despatch of Series 12, saying it was despatched on the 29th. Not received one for Season 14, but then although both are marked as despatched on my account, Season 14 was marked as despatched the day after Series 12, so I expect an email tomorrow.
The above said, this is only the second time I have received a despatch email from Zoom, the first was for the Skywalker Saga box set two weeks ago. So if I don’t get a despatch email from them I wouldn’t be worried because them not sending an email is the usual situation.

This is logical so they are not both released on the same week competing with each other, etc.

April 24th, 2020 - 5:53pmBased on the reissue of Season 12, there are going to be a load of copies on eBay come release date and with the sheer number on offer, you’ll probably be able to get a copy for a little over the RRP as long as you time it right and don’t get auction fever. There are enough copies to go round, and the sets that didn’t interest the scalpers can still be found for £40 new today (Seasons 23 and 26).

I only ask because I have seen people say their orders have been cancelled… I had one arranged to come to my local HMV but with this situation on the horizon I cancelled it and reordered it to be delivered to my house accordingly. April 24th, 2020 - 11:03amI would say HMV would be slightly different as I have seen these in stores around the time of release as well, where base.com is just a website, that isn’t that well known so may get a more limited supply than any other site.
All I can say is wait and see.
