Heading into the 60th Year of Doctor Who it seemed entirely fitting that the Fourteenth Doctors Sonic Screwdriver was given an exciting exclusive unveiling to fans on the Doctor Who Booth at the San Deigo Show!
The limited-edition version boasts an exclusive ‘electro plated’ finish making it look like real polished steel and brass. It also boasts two modes of operation, Open and Closed, as well as five brand new and totally unique sound and light effects, with each accessed by a different button sequence. The Sonic comes in Regeneration style packaging with a sturdy mailer box.
Ensuring all fans have the chance to own this special piece, Character Options is delighted to confirm the latest Online Exclusive and for this Anniversary year, is this very same Special Edition of the Fourteenth Doctor’s new sonic device and is available for sale and immediate delivery now.

Std edition (some retailers have wrongly sold it as a ltd edition) has matt finish prongs and no secret sounds or colours and in black box

FYI – after not hearing anything, I contacted Character on Monday, and the nice customer service lady guessed what I was calling about before I could say! Aside from the orders crashing their website, she told me that processing of the ‘5,000’ sonics was hampered because not all of the orders were printed out properly, so had to be put through manually for dispatch. That explains why some of us have not received confirmation emails, or been advised on order processing…

August 9th, 2023 - 3:16amDidn’t want to reply on the Big Chief post as it would distract from the numerous people who have lots of questions and may be facing financial problems due to the company’s liquidation. Also because it’s admittedly not entirely relevant, though it’s more relevant here.
It might be pretty clear why this hasn’t been the case for years, with Doctor Who becoming more of a niche, but I hope the new era becomes successful enough for companies like Character Options to diversify their output. Not only full 5″ figure waves again, but more of the 16″ figures, big remote control toys and other projects akin to Time Squad or Micro Universe. While the chances are slimmer, I’d absolutely love to see it apply to the Classic Series too. Was always gutted Character Options never produced big remote control Classic Daleks in the vein of Product Enterprise, or 16″ Classic Doctor figures.

August 4th, 2023 - 11:17amCO don’t have their own delivery service, hence why they don’t have any tracking. The delivery service that is handling your package should have provided you with the info. Just how DHL provided me with a tracking number.

August 4th, 2023 - 4:46pmCO said they had sent it via Royal Mail and they would have had the option to send it via recorded delivery, special delivery or tracked delivery which gives them the ability to track the parcel as well as giving the customer the ability to track it also. I’ve ordered items from other sites who have used this service via Royal Mail when they haven’t used companies such as DHL, DPD etc.
