I think I;m only going to buy this to go with the rest of my box sets, and even then I will wait till it’s cheap as I am really disappointing with this season only enjoyed about 4 episodes the rest were beyond terrible 🙁

Not a fan of boxsets. I would have preferred the volume 1, volume 2, volume 3 and volume 4 DVDs instead. Oh well, I’ll still probably purchase this as the artwork is pretty cool.

I think the volumes ones are a hassle. Granted, you can have your personal library of your favourite episodes, but it won’t be the full series. Although boxsets are more expensive… I’m tied between the two… Single episode dvds can sod right off!

The one thing I hate about the boxsets, is they come out in flimsy cardboard boxes. And it doesn’t matter how well you look after them, they get knocks, damage, and scuffs over time. The volumes however, all came in amamray cases, and nicely continued the continuity carrying on from the ‘classic series’ dvds. The one thing they really lacked was extras. Of course the other problem with the boxsets is the fact they there is NO continuity, hence they come out in different shapes and sizes. So the collection looks a bit of a mish mash anyway!

Overall, I like this. The cogs are very cool, and I like how they’ve got all the monsters/characters in them. Although I do have two problems with it:
    1. The Dalek and Cybermen images are old ones from Series 7. The Dalek should definitely be ‘Rusty’, and not a normal Dalek, however I guess images may not have been available at the time? Hm…
    2. Doctor and Clara are in a slightly weird pose 😆 I would probably prefer something a little more simple, it would show the main characters off better.

Might we not get this cover in the UK though?

They’re not fan made. Surprisingly, from the BBC. Although never shown on air… I think they weren’t meant to give much away, so it was probably intended only for an online audience. Bearing in mind, this must’ve been about a few months before ‘Deep Breath’

No, I think they’re definitely fan-made. They’ve all been confirmed to be so.
