Brilliant. Really pleased with the track listings. But I’m a bit annoyed that there isnt the 2013 theme on it. Oh, well. I now have something to look forward to when i go back to school on the 9th of September. Yay. I’ll download it from itunes, which was my original plan, but definately now because of the bonus tracks.

Aside from there being but one track from both Hide and Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, I’m really pleased with the track listings. It’s more balanced than previous years, at least. The inclusion of iTunes bonus tracks is slightly annoying, since I like owning a physical copy. I’m not sure whether I’ll buy it on iTunes and then a physical copy much later, or a physical copy and download the bonus tracks.

At least no waits today are like the epic waits we had for some VHSs. Look at DVDs which, in parts are out, two weeks after the final episode shown. It is practically instant compared with decades-long wait for videos. We Whovians are so so patient…

I wouldn’t think so as that belongs to Two Steps from Hell, who compose most of the Doctor Who trailer music 🙂

It’s called The Final Chapter of Amelia Pond and it lasts about 5 minutes or so as its got the theme from the episode opening, the song from when Rory died as an old man, when they jumped off the building and when Amy gave herself to the Angels.

    • OmegaArcadia

      July 16th, 2013 - 5:27pm

I actually really love the cover. I would’ve liked to have the Doctor in his purple tweed, but it would be anachronous with the “Asylum” setting. And having multiple companions—Amy, Rory, River, Clara—would’ve made it TOO busy, in my opinion.

    • Haza14

      July 16th, 2013 - 5:32pm

Haha, that’s a great way to look at it!

I actually really like the look of the cover but do agree that they could have used a more general image but I suppose that would have been difficult as there is probably no images that cover both parts of the series as they were quite separate.

However, the music is the most important thing and I’m sure, as always from Murray Gold, it will be spectacular! It certainly was at the Prom!

At last! This series has been one of Gold’s best, in my opinion. So many wonderful, wonderful tunes. Should almost certainly be getting this.

At last. It’s been so long since the Series 6 soundtrack. The cover’s not particularly interesting (it only represents one story), but I’m just glad this’ll be released in the near future.

I thought that the series 6 cover only represented the Wedding of River Song but the different costumes made it only slightly different. I like the new cover, like booboo said, it looks like Matt Smith is conducting an orchestra of Daleks!!!
