the TARDIS
February 25th, 2012 - 10:08amReally don’t like this cover. The bow-tie looks way too big although I like the idea of having the Doctor seen through a Dalek’s eye. If they go ahead and release this in August, then there would be nothing include in it about the new series!
the astronaut of death
February 24th, 2012 - 3:40pmif i did not have a clue about doctor who and just saw that annual cover i would think doctor who is about bow-ties. i think we should have some monsters and maby the tardis on the front cover not a big red bow tie
god of the whoniverse
February 24th, 2012 - 7:16amif u read it right now,one word…spoilers
Dalek thay
February 23rd, 2012 - 3:47pmI think they should of had some of the monsters on the front cover and is there going to be a doctor who Easter special
the astronaut of death
February 23rd, 2012 - 3:49pmi dont think so because they have not filmed one
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 23rd, 2012 - 4:35pmThere isn’t an Easter special. It would have been announced months ago. 🙂
the astronaut of death
February 23rd, 2012 - 3:43pmi think since so many people liked the 2012 annual cover they just made the 2013 cover look simerlar witch is bad this cover dose not even look good so they made a bad mistake
McGann is the Doctor.
February 23rd, 2012 - 9:37amYeah the cover is too similar to the last annual, it would have been better as something different.
It’s a bit early to be thinking about annuals isn’t it ? The next Dr Who series won’t be broadcasting until autumn time , at the start of a new school year for crying out loud ! It’s not even March 2012 yet, so , bit early ! 😯
CatManWho
February 23rd, 2012 - 7:30amI think it is a great cover, but not for Doctor Who as it draws attention to the bow-tie as if it were the single most important aspect of the programme. If bow ties become “uncool” over the coming years, then we’ll all regret it. 😮
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 23rd, 2012 - 7:11amI dont hate the cover I just think that bow tie looks incredibly bad! Not that I hate bow ties. Bow ties are cool!
My favourite annual is the 2011 one! 😀
Mels
February 23rd, 2012 - 5:47amMy gosh already. o_O I’m not a huge fan of that cover if they stick with it… but I suppose they’re trying to keep it different to all the other DW books out there.
David
February 23rd, 2012 - 12:50am2012 has just started…..
Sebatron
February 22nd, 2012 - 10:22pmIll get this
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
February 22nd, 2012 - 8:20pmhope everyone had a good half term! I will get this, but not too fond of the front cover, they should be more like the big book of doctor who covers, they are more bright and feature more characters.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
February 22nd, 2012 - 8:20pmp.s, isn’t it a bit early for a 2013 annual? they usually come in october dont they???…
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 22nd, 2012 - 8:31pmA lot of annuals are always released in August. The brilliant book of Doctor Who is normally released in Autumn.
Dalek thay
February 22nd, 2012 - 7:39pmDoes anyone now when the new doctor who character building is coming out
The 13th Doctor

the astronaut of death
February 22nd, 2012 - 6:52pmthat was quick
Dalek of Doom
February 22nd, 2012 - 6:45pmI think BBC Books should put something like:
Celebrating 50 Years Since 1963 or something on the cover like that! Not every show reaches 50 does it! I am beginning to worry if the 50th is gonna be as big as it has been told to be.
the astronaut of death
February 22nd, 2012 - 7:34pmi think it is
booboo
February 22nd, 2012 - 7:37pmit will be don’t worry
TARDIS
February 22nd, 2012 - 10:40pmNo the 2014 will be celebrating it as that will be the one that has covered the 50th.Why is everyone saying this should be it even though the 2014 edition will be the one that has the 50th stuff
booboo
February 23rd, 2012 - 9:21amprobably as it has 2013 on it but annuals are always released early, there is nothing to say it wont have a mention though
Jason doctorwhoone

TARDIS
February 22nd, 2012 - 10:42pmI don’t think they would do that for the cover if they know that the image will get released.
DALEKDAVROS.
February 22nd, 2012 - 3:29pmas its 2013 (50th aniversary )

cybermat6
February 22nd, 2012 - 12:45pmI hope the 2014 versions cover is better
King of the Tenza
February 22nd, 2012 - 12:43pmLove these, have them all except the 2008 one, and I really like the cover, as I hear there are people complaining about it. Which was the best? That rubbishy 2011 one? Or maybe that silly hologram of the 9th Doctor/ 10th Doctor? I think the best was the 2009 one, then this one.
Although I hate when the annual for the following year comes out August! Doctor Who Annual. 2013, and it comes out August 2012?! I think it’s wrong, but at least it could come out mid November and cover a little of Series 7 and lots more of Series 6 part 2.
King of the Tenza
February 22nd, 2012 - 1:01pmActually, not only Series 6 Part 2, but from The Rebel Flesh up to The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.
Plus, if you think about it, except Series 6 Part 2, there won’t be anything new. The only thing they could feature is the Waters of Mars (although please, no!) because it hasn’t been featured at all in the annuals.
moxx of who
February 22nd, 2012 - 1:15pmThe 2009 was the best one, then 2010, 2011, 2007 and then 2012 and 2008. The 2012 one has some stuff about Peg Dolls but that’s because the Peg Doll episode had been filmed and people knew they would be in it!
Scott
February 22nd, 2012 - 3:33pmI like the 2006 version because it has so much more info and i like the cover aswell
Commander Strax
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:17pmthe 2011 wasnt that bad
King of the Tenza
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:30pmAbout the Peg Dolls, the only thing I saw where 2 pictures of them and that thing on the first page talking about the first half of Series 6, where it says “giant dolls”. Ok, they werent that big. But I think this cover is one of my favourites, with 2009 being the best. My order:
2009
2013
2010
2012
2011
2007
2008
The first two annuals had shocking covers, but the content was really good. Personally, the one I enjoyed reading the most, where both 2011 and 2012!
Jaketorwho
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:28amI was dissapointed with the 2012 annual cover and now even more so with this. Hope this is not the final artwork!
booboo
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:32amthey have changed annual covers before but they have sent this image out to retailers
monster01
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:08pmi really like this cover i think its been the best since 2009
Peter
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:26amI spy with my little eye – the RTD Dalek eye! A hint to the suggested civil war in series 7 perhaps?
moxx of who
February 22nd, 2012 - 12:03pmI prefer russel t davies daleks then steven moffats. they look really big and chunky and rainbow daleks are a bit girly. i like thee blue and white dalek. Maybe Steven can explain where the Daleks from Victory of the Daleks are. They where erased from time and then we saw a single dalek in the Wedding of River song. The Past two years of Doctor who have beeen confusing and need explanations of whats actaully happend. The Crack, silence, pandorica, end of the universe, rebooting, the fall of the 11th and the question! Confusing!
monster01
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:10pmi know, what i worry about in how confusing will the 50th special be?
Commander Strax
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:18pmthe eyestak view between the 2 daleks are the same
harraseda
February 22nd, 2012 - 6:47pmno they’ve not, RTD was blue, moffat is orangey with the blue oval
Boodleoo
February 22nd, 2012 - 8:25pmAmazing spot!! I didn’t notice it, but I hope we do get a civil war between the daleks. That would be immense.
moxx of who
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:12amThis will probably cover series 6 pt2 and 2014’s annual will cover series 7. Maybe they should release it in November as Series 7 would be over by then.
booboo
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:13amI think series 7 will be only part way through then
moxx of who
February 22nd, 2012 - 11:17amYeah. If it’s a whole series then it should finish around the last week of November if it starts in September.
itrowy
February 22nd, 2012 - 3:00pmThere only doing half of series 7 in 2012, the other half will be in 2013, so Matt Smith can do other stuff and doesn’t leave.
dw2005
February 22nd, 2012 - 4:00pmI hate how they are airing series 7 this year and next year. Why can’t it be as it normally was around april?
Commander Strax
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:21pmso they will have to put the xmas special in the middle weird and 2 xmas spicals on a complete season dvd even wierder
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:44pmI’m pretty sure it’s a full season this year. 🙂
And dw2005 Doctor Who will be so much better in Autumn!
King of the Tenza
February 22nd, 2012 - 5:50pmI’m not sure if I’ll like it, it might mean no Christmas episode, or it will air like a few weeks after the Series finishes, and I’d rather wait from June or October like last Autumn. Maybe they could do an Easter special.
This is also off subject, but I always wanted a Halloween Special!!
the astronaut of death
February 23rd, 2012 - 3:54pmwhat they are doing is there going to have series 7 part one in 2012 half way through the gap between series 7 part one and sereis 7 part 2 they will show the x mas special and at early 2013 they will show series 7 part 2
the astronaut of death
February 23rd, 2012 - 3:54pmbut i may be wrong
King of the Tenza
February 24th, 2012 - 1:45pmThat was just a rumour about it being two parts. It’s most likely it will be a full series with no 2-parters.
booboo
February 24th, 2012 - 1:49pmit came from Steven Moffat in a Doctor Who magazine interview but it isn’t set in stone should the story warrant it
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 24th, 2012 - 5:57pmI’m intersted to see how this series will work without no two parters. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of cliffhangers leading to future episodes like in Day Of The Moon though.
G-banger
February 22nd, 2012 - 10:15ami always love the artwork for these books.
luke kelly
February 22nd, 2012 - 10:05amim so getting this! :{)
