Doctor Who Magazine Special Legends Patrick Troughton
Doctor Who Magazine presents the second issue of Legends – a special tribute to actor Patrick Troughton. “It’s 60 years since Troughton was cast as the Doctor,” says editor Marcus Hearn. “William Hartnell had already made an indelible impact in the role, but the endearing ‘cosmic hobo’ that Troughton created was the version of the Doctor that gave the series practically limitless potential.

Anyhow…
Technically anything said on GB should stay on GB, that their rules when you sign up, but click bait social media spreads it around and wish lists rumours and hearsay slowly become facts.

Trouble there is, virtually all the Troughton stories have missing episodes….

July 8th, 2026 - 3:23pmThere are a lot more people involved than just him and that’s not even getting into the issues that can arise with licensing and especially with budget. Just because he would like to make a figure doesn’t mean that it is possible and it definitely doesn’t mean it’s happening next year. A lot of compromises go into figure selection, parts need to be reused, etc.
I only have myself to blame. I shared the list here in good faith when someone asked about it as it was publicly available and the magazine had been out for some time by that point. I knew somebody would take it like this.

July 8th, 2026 - 10:46amthis will be a good read i have been going through the 2nd doctors run in order lately (i am at the mind robber now) i was only a kid when he died so the only things i saw him in was the 5 and 2 doctor s ,the box of delights the first series of the two of us and children’s film when he invented a time machine (not the tardis) but seeing him in lots of things after he died on satellite tv you realise how good he was has an actor
