Got another copy of this from Preston Comic Con yesterday, it was only 50p and I couldn’t just leave it there for that price.

Congratulations to Dave Hobday who operated his Renegade Dalek in ‘The Magician’s Apprentice’ and ‘The Witch’s Familiar’ as he is featured on page 13 of this new issue in the feature ‘Most Dedicated Doctor Who Fan Ever ! of the month’.

I’ve never met Dave in person, but his a friend of mine on the website Deviant Art called ‘Vote Dave’, and he sure surprised me when I spotted his photo of himself and his Dalek he calls Derek which was an unexpected surprise for me today.

Congratulations Dave, your little spot in this issue of Doctor Who Magazine is well deserved indeed !! 🙂

Might be a disco ball or one of those mirrors they use to make sure you’re not dining and dashing.

Could this be another splinter of Clara rather than Clara herself. That said, not sure its meant to be in the 50s….that looks like a tablet she is holding

And those shoes. A splinter would be wearing the standard clothes.

      Yes, Eddie’s Diner.

I ate there the day before (I’d been to the Doctor Who experience).

I went there the day I went to the Doctor Who Experience and sat where Matt Smith sat, and it just happened to be table 11. I had a steak and it was really nice.

      What would you call it?

    • 76 Totters Lane

      November 10th, 2015 - 8:39pm

The t-shirts could say: “I’ve been all around the universe and back in time for tea (at Eddie’s Diner)”

Takes one look at the cover and suddenly I’ve got Roy Orbison’s ‘Pretty Woman’ playing in my head [yes, that was the song the Doctor played in ‘The Magician’s Apprentice’ on his guitar when he spots Clara encase anyone is wondering 🙂 ]

in my mind its when he spots Missy, I hate the thought of him thinking Clara is “pretty” we has enough of that with Matt Smith

    • DOCTOR WHO ONE

      November 9th, 2015 - 7:11pm

No, he looks at Clara herself when he plays it.

    • TheDarkAndTheLight

      November 9th, 2015 - 7:24pm

He looks in the direction of both of them – it’s intentionally ambiguous.

    • DoctorSong2016

      November 9th, 2015 - 7:35pm

Yeah, what I meant is that I like to think that he looks at Missy, I wasn’t saying that he actually does

Great cover. Just to ask, is she a Nanny, an English Teacher AND a Waitress? What other jobs does she have?

      November 9th, 2015 - 6:07pm

she used to be a nanny, but then moved on to become a teacher, she was only a nanny because their mum died around the time she was visiting and she felt sorry for them as she knew what it was like to lose her mum

I don’t think she is a waitress now, personally I think this is an echo

It’s a huge metaphor for the fact that she’s leaving ‘last orders’ basically she’s on her way out (r.i.p)
