if you ask an American person what language they speak and they say American>:-(
if they like to mock british people so much with that voice than no-one actually hasthen they can MAKE THEIR OWN LANGUAGE.

Love the cover. That coat really suits Capaldi. Can’t wait for this and new series.

That jacket really suits his Doctor, I remember seeing the first pictures of his costume in series 8 and thinking how bland and dull it was, a little cold too (which they may have been going for) but also a little too neat and tidy. His new longer hair and exciting colours/patterns makes his seem more like a madman but still with some of the uncaring traits from series 8.

He looks great with Missy and as always it would be brilliant as a poster. Can’t wait to read the preview (though I’ll probably hear it elsewhere first 🙄 )

Why everyone in the galaxy speaks english !!.

Because english is the supreme language of the universeeeeeeee !! 😀

Course, we all know for a fact that the aliens in Doctor Who are not really speaking english, cos as the Doctor told Rose, your just hearing english cos the Tardis translates alien languages inside your head, so it’s much more reliable then Star Trek’s universal communicators.

So here’s the question – Does the Doctor always speak english ? or are we hearing him speak Gallifreyan ?, cos even when we see him alone, like when his talking to himself in the Tardis in ‘Listen’, we hear him speak english, but maybe his not, it just seems like he is.

What about ‘allons-y’ and every other time the Doctor or his companions speak another language, shouldn’t that be translated? And why wasn’t the translator working in the Rings of Akhaten?

    • DOCTOR WHO ONE

      August 18th, 2015 - 3:45pm

Well, if the Doctor is never actually speaking english, then it maybe possible that he can pronounce some of earth’s many languages without the Tardis translating for him, otherwise instead of hearing him say “Allons-Y !!”, we’d always be hearing him says “Let’s go !!” 😀

      August 18th, 2015 - 3:43pm

Nicholas – Sorry bud, I already called it, it’s the 3rd Doctor who is the best Doctor ever 😀

I saw Tom Baker once thou, last year in May, he was in Barking in the Barking Learning Centre signing autograph’s for a 10th Planet event.

I mean the coat 😛 Feels more Tom Baker than Pertwee to me… Pertwee was a mighty fine Doctor though 😛

ah yes, the late great Jon Pertwee. Battling Ogrons, Axons, Silurians, Sea Devils, the odd Dalek here and there and probably the most frequent and prominent, the ORIGINAL Master.

Nice cover. I’m definitely going to pick this up.

One thing though, “PLUS! Why everyone in the galaxy speaks English!” Wasn’t it already established that it was because of the TARDIS translation circuit? This isn’t exactly big news, it’s something we’ve known since 2005. But if it says something different, it will be contradicting what we’ve known since 2005.

Oh well, I’ll try to get a copy anyway. I love DWM all the same.

Looking foreward to this! Love the cover, looking foreward to the new series!!

I think this issue will have a series overview in it like they did last year as there may be time for them to release another issue to break down the first four episodes.

since we don’t know much about eps 3 and 4 yet , they may only preview magicians apprentice and witches familiar

As the next issue (491) is out two days before the series starts, I’d guess that has their in-depth episode previews for episodes 1-4, so assume this has a general series preview in it
